  A real gem in an excellent location in Zermatt

  Great hotel right by the railway station and Gornegrat Bahn with nice, clean rooms, spa area, gym and a good selection of restaurants with excellent food. Friendly, attentive staff everywhere in the hotel, very good breakfast and good locker room for skis

  RAT in the room

  BEWARE Stayed over New Years and halfway through our trip my girlfriend found a rat had been going through her room - she left some food in her bag and apparently they were in the hotel! I thought it was a nice hotel but the manager didn't give us a refund and wouldn't move our room. Absolutely appalled by the service here and hospitality - would not stay again! How gross is this!!!

  Luxury, Cozy and expected

  We took Zermatt as our second stopover for honeymoon, when we checked in, they decorated the bed with sink rose petals, which doest surprise me, I would prefer to have a champagne or a wine. Thats why I dont feel any extraordinary service, the breakfast comes with many variety of food, the waitress there are friendly and welcoming, and busy, it seemed a bit under staffed. The decoration of the room is cozy and comfy, it also comes with a large balcony, lobby stuffs are welcoming.

  Amazing Design and Super Concierge

  We stayed in Schiweizerhof for 2 nights and the location is so convenient, just 1min walk from the shuttle train station, alittle stroll to a bus that takes you straight to Sunngega funicular, which is also just outside the Gonergrat train station that takes you right up to see the Matterhorn. Our room was the small cozy room, just enough for 2 people. The design and comfort of the place was amazing. We were given generous quantity of Toblerone by room service and the room also came with a Dyson hair dryer + nespresso machine, very nice to have when you admire the mountains at the balcony that comes with the room. I would like to make a special shout out to receptionist Philip and concierge Nuno who actually helped me get my humble but sentimental hat to me in Singapore. I really appreciate their patience and reassurance over quite a number of concerned emails from me. OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Lastly, great breakfast, they even have a dedicated section for people who are vegan.

  Zermatt in Ultimate Style & Comfort

  We had an amazing stay in lovely Schweizerhof hotel in Zermatt last week. This hotel is very centrally located just next to the train station and the main ski lifts, surrounded by cosy cafes and luxury shops in the heart of Zermatt. The hotel is a part of Michel Reybier hospitality group, so no wonder the hotel is immaculately decorated and styled, staff is extremely friendly and professional. We had a spacious and elegantly decorated family room, with a separate room for children and lovely views. Every room is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, tea station and still and sparkling water. The room design was cosy, with lots of light and wood, combined with cutting-edge technology (Marshall music system, iPad to control the room temperature and light, etc). Our room was immaculately clean, and the housekeeping staff was very kind and discrete. The restaurants of the hotel were great - we enjoyed on several occasions chic and cool Kitchen restaurant (dont miss steak tartare!!) and relaxing and traditional Cheese Factory (amazing Swiss cheese fondue). As well there is a trendy Peruvian restaurant La Muna. Every night there is a DJ music in the bar/restaurant, nice cool vibe and you can continue your evening in the cigar lounge equipped with a snooker table. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well, and were extremely happy with the kids club, where they were making chocolates, exploring the climbing wall, etc. The lady in the kids club was always super friendly and caring. Unfortunately we didnt have chance to experience spa and swimming pool, but the hotel has quite vast spa area. A ski rental shop is conveniently located in the hotel as well, all of us got skis and boots in a great condition, which fit perfectly. The breakfast team was always super efficient, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet provides a nice selection of dishes, however you can always order your eggs, pancakes, etc. Our poached eggs and omelettes were always great! Special thank you to Csaba for being always there for us (day and night!) and ensuring our stay is enjoyable and comfortable. The Bar team was great, fun to have a chat, and drinks were fantastic as well. Nice fancy cocktails, but nothing is better than a glass of chilled Jeeper Champagne (the champagne house owned by Michel Reybier) after a skiing day!! Reception and concierge staff was wonderful, special thank you to Dario and Giacomo for being professional and helpful. As well we would like to thank Concierge Jose, who arranged for us Doctor appointment, reservations and provided us with all the necessary information prior to our stay. You can find staff speaking any language you prefer....English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Czech, and what not!! Once again many thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable and enjoyable, we are very much looking forward to be back to Schweizerhof one day soon!!
