  Needs renovation

  Arrived hotel in early evening - went to the restaurant, ordered meal. The waiter serving us was really odd, actually quite rude. He must have had an issue as the following days he seemed to have "recovered" but it was a strange start to our sejour here. The hotel is ok value for money. Some staff were good, some were just so stressed out and totally not a happy bunch, not much in the way of greeting ( the guys who drive the shuttle - big shout out and lady cleaner for my room was so nice ) The shuttle to ski runs on half hours. ROOM Clean Good size with balcony . No Carpet ( I always find this good) bed - hard, inexpensive mattress No kettle- provided on request Brand used for amenities was mediocre BREAKFAST Everything is there - but nothing special. SPA pool - acceptable size hamman area-place was in need of a good renovation and new furniture Did not feel that it was that clean. I went and decided to leave :( best have a nice shower in my room :) GYM Need renovation SKI ROOM Boot warmers / Ski racks Acceptable - but need renovation SAVE THE PLANET +still using plastic straws +no little amenity bottles +refill glass bottles for water I found the price of the hotel was reasonable value. Hotel in need of renovation and staff require training.

  The staffs are the STAR to make a wonderful stay!

  This hotel chain is well known so I know what to expect such as convenient location, good service, nice facility, etc. But the best selling point this time round for this hotel are the staffs, particularly Davide. From the beginning and throughout the stay, he has been extremely courteous, responsive and professional in his communication. With his thoughtful effort and enthusiasm, he made special request possible and everything worked out smoothly and swiftly! Other than that, spa is good. Breakfast (perhaps adding labels to the food would be good) and dinner are good with choices. Room is comfortable and clean. Free pick/drop off to the parking as Saas-Fee is car free area. Hotel interior could do some refurbishing but still cosy enough. It is definitely a great stay overall!

  And those who fear are lost

  It s a message from Sting in one of his songs. It s the first line that comes in my mind when i part for a journey. This Time was Saas fee. And Chandolin a few days before. I ve arrived at the Hotel after a night spent in saas fee-in another hotel whose name i want to forget ,and the sun shined so beautiful that day, so i ve decided to book for one more night. Best offer Booking had was Schweizer Hof hotel, so i did not hesitate,I ve booked instantly. Also the Photos that i ve made during my first night spent în Saas Fee had a big role, as I needed to post them. Check in was different than any check in i ve made in my life, but in a good sense. First, i was picked up from the Parking lot (in saas fee cars are not allowed, so after you park your car, you are being picked up from the Parking lot by an electric car) by the manager of the hotel.What an honour. I was asked in which language i prefer to talk,english, french, German, so i ve replied English. Very polite, he asked me how my trip was,and I ve told him the truth:i m here since two days. At the arrival at the Hotel, i was greeted by one of the Receptionists,i was invited to have a sit at one of their table, i was even offered a tea, and a buffet with some food was at the guests disposal. Once again I was asked if i travel for work or leisure, and I remember i ve said:i travel to forget.Which was true, i just wanted to escape my current life for a few days. Saas fee is The place to be for people who ski,being the only place where the snow lasts all year. I was here to relax this Time, so i ve enjoyed the hours spent in their spa, and the time in our room, namely 406.Room is ok, but for me The mobilier was kind of dated, and the lights, they did not give that cozy athmosphere, i must confess that i ve expected more. Still, it was very quiet during the night, and our room had a small balcony, plus we were greeted by a complementary bottle of water and some sweets.Thank you! The Best surprise was their Breakfast, they really know how to make their guests feel royal.We had our breakfast at 7,30, just before our departure, and it was perfect, plus we got the breakfast room just for us,as the hotel was fully booked. Unfortunatelly we had to leave very early, so i did not have too much Time to Explore all the facilities of this hotel, but i m sure we will return, and Schweizer Hof is one of first options. A, and the name of the song of sting îs "Shape of my heart".

  It could be so much better ...

  Very unbalanced place .. some things are nice some other are not at all. Starting with mood and attitude of staff .. some are great, some are moody and apparently bad mooded; the manager was unfortunately it the best example giver .. Rooms: 3/5.. nice but nothing special, neither space wise nor by deco/amenities Pool: 3/5though not small, very crowded and dark, floors around not so inviting Spa/Sauna: there are 2 parts .. the one around the pool .. 3/5; average as a bit old .. the new area in the first floor 5/5, very spacious ans nice Reception/Service: 2/5 not good ... some staff members very available and friendly .. manager not at all .. seems they have their established clientele and dont care about new one ... Restaurant : there have 3, of which 1 in house .. the one in house offers a menu .. : 1/5.. total average, very little offering or flexibility for kids ... and the loud piano play is rather has been .. .. the 2 out-house restaurant instead are very good 4+/5! Kids area : with a ping pong table and table football.. and kids games .. rather well equipped but not properly heated and most of the time a total mess .. 1/5 Gym: 0/5! The worst gym I ever had .. almost nothing in there ..most of the equipment not working properly or outdated .. terrible All in all .. 3/5 ..

  Family ski vacation

  Well located four star hotel with spa. Our family of five stayed here this past week during Christmas. Good location Nice spa Massage possibilities: (Ask for Denise the masseuse whos there on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons)! She was FAR better than the Slovenian masseuse. Generally quiet rooms. Comfortable beds. However, it seems this hotel could benefit from renovations. Small bathrooms with only one sink! No tea kettle in rooms! Shame! Meals (only one set menu) were good but just too long! We ate out most times. The staff not so pleasant! We felt the most pleasant were the porter! Tiago from Portugal. The German lady at the bar was also pleasant. The others need to learn more about customer service! Seems that return guests benefit from more customer attention which isnt surprising. However, during difficult times due to Covid extra efforts need to be made.
