  Highly recommended!

  This is a place we will gladly return to and we highly recommend it to everyone who appreciates good service, helpful staff and very friendly room service. The little town is so charming and quiet and after spending our last ten holidays in Italy, we mean Suvereto is definitely one of the nicest places of all. Not too touristic either.   Excellent

  Great studio - spacious clean well equipped. Comfortable in every sense and very accommodating management and staff. We had a really wonderful stay of 4 days and would not hesitate to return. Sleep quality impacted slightly by dogs in distant neighbourhood barking early hours of the morning. Also a bit difficult to find as it is basically in a pedestrian zone although reachable by car in the mornings generally. Suvereto is convenient base to visit the Golf of Baratti and Populonia as well as Tuscan vineyards and is not at all touristy. The accommodation is a converted cloister so all rooms are different - ours was on the second level and had wonderful views of both town and country. Thoroughly recommend.

  Great value accommodation

  We stayed in 2015 in the studio apartments on the third floor. For the price this was excellent and well located accommodation in an historic convent. We had a balcony overlooking the hill to Belvedere, a beautiful typical tuscan landscape. From Suvereto we visited other Medieval towns and the coast including Elba Island. Loved it.

  Wonderful mediaeval monastery

  We stayed in Il Chiostro for 5 nights at the end of June 2015. The accommodation is set up as apartments rather than a hotel. The office is open for 3 hours in the morning and again late afternoon. We had a great flat (No. 7) overlooking the cloisters. On the first two nights of our stay the cloisters were being used for a public concert/wine tasting so we could sit on our terrace and enjoy the free music - see photo. There is an outdoor hot tub. The setting of this accommodation, and indeed the town itself, was quite wonderful. Suvereto is a mediaeval walled town and it was quite an experience wondering around the streets imagining what it would have been like hundreds of years ago. It's now a tourist town and when we were there it was predominantly frequented by Italian tourists. There are loads of restaurants. Suvereto is about 20 minutes by car from the coast and the southern beaches are particularly nice. Regarding things to do, we went to the Petra winery and the disused mines which have been converted to a tourist attraction. We enjoyed both. Something worth knowing about the apartment is that while there is a kitchen area complete with dishwasher, there is no washing up liquid or dishwasher tabs provided. We wished we'd taken our own from England as it's not cost-effective to buy such things for a short stay. Likewise, if you want to make salads then it might be worth bringing a small quantity of olive oil for the dressing. There are nearby shops and supermarkets that also sell fresh bread and cold meats. Overall we had a very positive experience and highly recommend this accommodation.
