  Amazing hotel, very peaceful

  Hotel is about 15 -20 mins away from Laganas or about 30 minute walk to Kalamaki, Had a lovely pool, cleaned the room every day, had a fridge provided at no extra cost and a free half bottle of home made wine and water. Really lovely friendly staff in the hotel. Had tea and coffee making facilities in the room and hairdryer. At night some of the way walking back to the hotel there is no pavement or no street lights ( from Kalamaki). I tried to get taxi but they are £8 anywhere so a round trip is £16 which is expensive if you do it often. Beware on busses they do not stop automatically so I was on it and missed my stop and had to walk back in the midday heat carrying heavy things like water. The resort you will find spoiled for choice in restaurants and bars and found karaoke bar as well.I would say the food was reasonable but consistent I was not amazed really by the food , I found Albatross very nice food and Bonanza very good, although in Bonanza when I asked what the sausages were I was given the answer I dunno Mate! Would stay at this hotel again as i really liked that it was quiet and i had a lovely balcony as well

  Best place on the entire island

  We loved it. Relaxed. Central but still cut off, close to everything important in zakynthos. Laganas beach just a short walk in a lovely little road in the forest. The service is amazing. Cleaning ladys, so proffesional and very nice. Wonderful place. And the food was incredible. We are vegans and they had so many nice tasteful options as well as they helped me and fixed avacado when i asked. So amazing. The pool is beautiful and they also have their own garden you can see with food, soooo beautiful. I cant even describe with my words. Just amazing. Simply amazing. Go there. Fall in love. And stay long! And yeah did i tell you about the private floor balcony. Just.... wow...

  Quite a difference from other places in Zante

  The night before we moved to this hotel we stayed in another place on the main street of Kalamaki. It seemed to confirm all horror stories we've heard about Zante (drunken people shouting obscenities at each other at 3am, a street full of ugly "cafes" and "restaurants" etc.), so we decided to try something else the next day. The contrast couldn't have been greater. Ilaria is a quiet, classy place with wonderful natural surroundings which, at the same time, is close to Laganas, the city centre and the airport. Both the rooms and the outside areas are large, so the hotel did not feel cramped even though the hotel was apparently full. Service and cleaniness were excellent. All that for a very reasonable price. We'll be coming again.

  nice hotel very quiet

  Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for 10 days at the end of june. The rooms were very spacious and clean,the maids came in everyday and replaced the towels so could not fault this.However we found that there was unsufficiant choice of food in the dining area for breakfast,as it catered more for forign nationals and not for the english guests, not even a toaster which I feel should be standard.so because of this we had to eat out for breakfast for the duration of the holiday.Also the bar area was very sparce with not alot of choice for refreshments, also no atmosphere.Having said that the barman was very friendly at all times, and happy to help. The pool area was nice and you could always find a sunbed and the pool was very clean.

  Lovely hotel for the price

  Me and my friend (aged around 30) stayed at this hotel for a week. It is set upon beautiful grounds and the pool is beautiful. The staff are so good and are very helpful. The breakfast was poor for the british there wasnt even toast so we rarely had breakfast at the hotel after the first couple of days. There are a lot of wild cats so if you dont like cats then a heads up as I am a cat lover but they were not very friendly and very territorial. They literally hissed at us and chased us when we walked past on an evening. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk to laganas. It is on a main road with no lights or pavement. I didnt feel particularly safe walking along so we tended to get the bus. Laganas is full of 18 year olds so avoid there unless you like young drunks. We ate in kalamaki which was 8 euros each way but lovely restaurants. Zante town is also a nice place to visit on an evening and this cost us 1.80 euro each way for both of us. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The pool was beautiful however it was infected with wasps. Ive never been anywhere where there has been so many round the pool. There was plenty of sun beds so no early start required! Pool snacks and drinks were minimal but we got a cheap deal so we cant complain about that. It did the trick for the week and its in a peaceful location. The hotel is 4 stars which in comparison to others I wouldn't agree. This hotel could easily become a 5 star if the owners wanted to as there is so much land! It would benefit from having a shop on site. Rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Overall a lovely place to stay for a week if you get a cheap deal!
