  Disappointing

  Having stayed at this Marriott hotel previously when we were Hajj pilgrims in 2017, I feel extremely disappointed with how the service level standards have significantly dropped. We faced many issues during our one week stay at this hotel. Firstly, the room card was almost daily reset due to not unlocking our door upon returning to the room - being on the 14th floor going up and down unnecessarily was quite an inconvenience! The rooms were dusty - cleanliness and hygiene maintenance is not what is was. The shower drain was really smelly before we even used the bathroom and the stench was not budging! Toiletries / towels were not replaced regularly unless asked. As a young couple, we expected a double bed. Instead, they gave us two single beds and just joined them together when we advised that this was not what we had wanted. The shuttle bus drivers were not prompt - we ended up mostly using Hilton Buses instead to get to and from the Haram. Security measures are not clear - what things are / arent allowed into the hotel. During our stay at this hotel, they were having some work done in different areas - this meant parts of the hotel were out of bounds and some of the nicer were ALL out of use. Breakfast options were limited and they had most things on daily repeat which got a little boring. Having stayed at the wonderful Shaza in Madinah, this really let us down on this occasion and dont think well be staying here again in a hurry!

  Loved marriot in Makkah!

  My family and I had the pleasure of staying at marriot jabal omar Makkah. It is 5 mins from the haraam and the view from the room is amazing.. loved the place! One of the housekeeping staff Mohammed Mujeed went above n beyond and helped us with all our needs. He truly made us feel welcomed and my kids Still remember him. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. The food is great! The shuttle is always there to take u down or u can walk down to the haram if u like but we always took the shuttle because it was always there. Food options by the shuttle are endless. We will be definitely coming back! I still miss the view!!

  Not suitable for Umra at all!

  Not enough staff.. took forever for housekeeping to prepare our room for check in (we waited till 3:30 but they didn't even start on it, so we went to the Haram and got the room at 8 pm!).. only two shuttle buses to shuttle people to and from the Haram.. there's no way to walk to Haram.. Very very long lines in restaurant for breakfast.. Worst experience I have ever had in Makka.

  An amazing experience

  This hotel is a stone throw away from the Holy Mosque, I encountered a few difficulties initially in the hotel but the Operations Manager and Supervisor personally looked into this and provided us with better rooms. From House Keeping to restaurants the staff does ensure that you receive a personal good service. The waiters even help you with breakfast in the morning and put your plate on the table. The hotel has a shopping mall which is good to buy food and shopping.

  Amazing staff and clean accommodations

  We stayed twice over the last couple of weeks and both times we were greeted with exceptional hospitality from reception staff, porters, and security staff. We were upgraded both times to a beautiful (and very clean) spacious suite. Special thanks to Afrah, Ashjan, Awatif, Nariman, and Mohammad Foad. The breakfast staff were also quite professional. The shuttle bus driver gave us helpful information.
