  No ha sido una buena experiencia

  Hotel que pretende ser muy lujoso, es grande y nuevo pero resulta demasiado frio, los ascensores están muy lejos de alguna habitaciones. Nos pusieron una cama supletoria en la habitación difícil de dormir en ella y pequeña para una persona normal. A últimos de Octubre y sin calefacción en las habitaciones hace bastante frio. el trato del personal es bastante frio. Tuvimos problemas para entrar a desayunar porque tenín un error en el listado. La mayoría del personal no tiene ni idea de inglés y se esfuerzan poco en entender. Se nos rompió la ducha el primer día y pretendierón cobrar la reparación ( unos 80 euros). Y para colmo el cajero para cambiar dinero de la recepción se nos quedó con 100 euros ..... sería interminable la lista.

  Fabulous rooms, but for the rest, - forget it!

  The hotel has serious ambitions, as seen in the way they present themselves on the websites. Presently the problem is that many of the things presented are no longer operative, thus there is only one restaurant and that is so cold that the staff wears outer garments and the cooks keep their hands warm over the toaster at breakfast. The staff told us (we think) that the restaurant was open only for breakfast and lunch, but we did see signs of life at 8 pm one evening. The spa was closed, as was the executive longe that was to serve guests coffee, tea and soft drinks through the day. The staff was friendly enough, but did not speak any English. The area in which it is situated is great at daytime with the central views all close by. The rooms were great, clean and well appointed with huge bathrooms with all amenities! WiFi and AirCon were good. The breakfast was oriented towards Chinese food and probably good for Chinese, but unimpressive for western tastes.

  Stay away from Kingrand

  I work in China for 12 years and this hotel is one of the worst I ever stayed. I and my colleagues arrived there at 11 o'clock at night, exhausted. The hotel was completely dark. The reception girl (there was only one for such a big hotel) was as extremely slow and it took us more than 15 minutes to check in. The hotel doesn't accept international credit cards, so we had to ask a favor from our Chinese colleague to pay for us, which was very embarrassing. The room was gloom, while half of the lights didn't work. There was no complementary water bottles, which is the must in China. It's the first hotel I ever encountered in China with no complementary water bottles. There is a feeling that the management wants to save money on every aspect. For the price of 900 rmb without breakfast it's an extremely disappointing hotel. Will never ever stay there again. A big NO!

  Absolutely appalling

  DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Words can not express how disappointed I was after arriving at this hotel. I chose cheap transport options so that I could splurge on 5 star accommodation whilst holidaying in China. Beijing was meant to be the highlight of our trip but soon turned into a nightmare after checking into this poorly managed, neglected hotel that I later found out is bankrupt hence the hot springs not working, none of the restaurants open, lounges, room service or cafes in operation. This hotel is still charging top dollar when it should be closed down. I caught two staff members sleeping on the job and the Buffett breakfast I paid extra for was appalling to say the least. This hotel would be lucky to be two star let alone 5 star, it's absolutely appalling. No one understands or speaks English and the staff are so rude. I booked this hotel so that I could enjoy the hot springs. When I tried to book in they said no over and over again and just laughed when I asked to speak to the manager. My friend is Chinese so he phoned the manager and they advised that the hotel is bankrupt and suggested we book an alternative hotel but couldn't offer a refund. What a joke the Kingrand turned out to be!

  Hidden location, great atmosphere and good rooms

  The location is not the best. Although very central, it is hidden in a rusty area. Taxi drivers struggle finding the place or dropping you at various places. The hotel is a 10min walk from tianmen square. Staff are ok but do not speak english. So be prepared and patient. Rooms are great with halved design, one side is a room and another is the bathroom. Spacious too. Lobby is pretty good but some parts are not maintened properly. Swimming pool was nice, gym area is good. Yet, the spa place was pricy and not very good. Breakfast is a 4 star quality and restaurants are just fine. But there are other choices around if you walk out few minutes. Not the best area to walk around at nights. There are ktv bars and clubs in less than 5min from the hotel. We witnessed couple of fights. Overall it is good if still at around 500 rmb a night.
