    Cannot wait to return!

    We stayed at this hotel for the half term week, all inclusive. A group of eight, ranging from 78 to 16 in age. Yes there are hotels on the island with more marble and glitter but that will be reflected in their exorbitant prices. This hotel is clean, comfortable and very well located on the beach at playa del Cura. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem getting sun beds. The staff, without exception, are all so friendly and helpful. Roberto the animation guy was great and works hard all day. Some reviews suggest that entertainment is only for the French, but that was not our experience at all and everyone was included. We all enjoyed the food and the wine was surprisingly drinkable for an all inclusive hotel. Playa Del Cura is a small resort but buses and taxis to other resorts are available outside the hotel and not too expensive. Id recommend a sea view room if possible or one next to the pool and visit the Old Brogue Irish bar up the road.

    Fab!

    Weve just returned from a fabulous week here. The hotel was beautifully spotless and all of the staff friendly and helpful. I was a little worried having read some of the other reviews, but food and drink was varied, nicely presented and plentiful. The pool was lovely and easy access to the beach The downside - the bed was a little hard for my liking- but my son and husband didnt mind. The shower as mentioned in earlier reviews is glass, but frosted most of the way - it didnt really present an issue. All in all, a great hotel and we would love to return

    Corona shorted our vacation!!!

    Everything in the hotel and surroundings were lovely. We had four marvellous days. But sorry to say, another four days locked into the room, caused by the coronavirus. Hopefully we can go back next year.

    Distinctly Average

    I brought my mum to Gran Canaria for a few days to celebrate her 70th birthday. It should be noted that our stay was from 12th-15th March and this review is based on our experience of our stay which may or may not have been affected by the issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic. We arrived at the hotel late afternoon having been deposited at the end of the street by the Jet2 coach. It was quite a walk in the heat for an older lady and not something I was made aware of at booking (not the hotels fault but putting it here in case this is an issue for anyone else). Pick up is at the same location, again difficult for anyone with health or mobility issues. The hotel itself looks a bit tired and in need of some brightening up. Reception staff were pleasant and we checked into our room with no issue. I had paid extra for the sea view and it was definitely worth it because the hotel is right on the rocky beach. Beautiful views and, as the hotel is quite secluded, was very quiet and relaxing. The hotel itself was fairly quiet (not sure if this was due to start of season or virus pandemic) and there were no queues for food or at the bar. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers. The bar (poolside and hotel) is self serve for beer, wine, water and soft drinks. Bar service for anything else. Plastic cups and these are not permitted to be refilled due to cross contamination so a lot of overflowing bins with cups. The restaurant food was fine, decent variety and the norm for all inclusive. Most dishes were lukewarm though which can be a bit off putting, particularly for meat dishes. I found several of the restaurant and bar staff to be extremely rude to myself and other holidaymakers. Unfortunately, we were present on day 1 of the Spanish lockdown but were thankfully going home on day 2 so we werent actually there for most sanctions taking place. Jet2 dont have any organised rep presence at this hotel, something we were not aware of until we tried to contact them to find out what was happening. Again, not the hotels fault but something which future travelers may want to know. In summary, quiet location, ok hotel, food average. It was fine for a few days but dont think I would want to spend any longer than that.

    Very relaxing

    We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Riviera Marina. Fantastic location close to the beach, lovely sea view from the balcony, great staff, nice drinks. No loud music in the pool area, very calm and relaxing. Animation guy perfect for the job, we enjoyed the activities! We hope everybody down there is well and healthy We will definitely come back!
