  Need some peace and relax

  We booked hotel through travelbird since we where looking for getting away and find some peace and relax. With great pleasure we where received and just after 20 min and a nice drink in a very peaceful environment just next to the stream we moved to the diner diner table. We had a fantastic diner (4 courses included in the package) with great tastes and quality ingredients in all dishes. The service was done with a smile and accompanied with knowledge of all the dishes . We will for certain come back to this hotel if this current owner stays in and I hope he can keep the staff. His wife still needs to learn what is customer service which he has in his DNA:)

  Wow, What a find !

  I have just returned from this delightful Hotel and spent 4 days there. We were a large party of 50+ Fire Fighters and Familiies that ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles and had a great experience during our stay. The Staff were very attentive without being intrusive and I found the found the food in the Resataurant to be of the highest quality. The Chef really knows his task and at last I find a Chef creating food that didn't require any seasoning ! Perfect ! My room was at the rear of the Hotel overlooking the gardens and stream, My room was very well presented and clean and could have been improved in only just one area for me and that would have been the provision of Coffee & Tea making facilities. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, All in all a great away from home hotel experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this delightful Hotel to visitors to this Region which is spectacular and I would undoubtidley return !

  Great Location and helpful staff

  We stayed only one night in May 2018 during our round trip through the Ardennes. Our room was in the annex facing the garden/forest and there is a brook going by the house which is a nice feature at night because we slept so well with the sound of the water. The room itself was a good size with a big comfy bed. Wifi was working well. The location of the hotel is a bit remote but therefore also very quiet. There is plenty of parking outside the hotel. In the evening they did accomodate us for dinner quite late although we did not have a reservation. The food we had was good but not spectacular. Breakfast next morning was okay although choice was limited.

  Quiet, clean, good value great location

  Stayed here for 4 nights for the Belgian TT just a few miles away, the room (on the lower ground floor) was OK but did show some evidence of damp. Nothing bad but needs dealing with, the new walk-in shower was very good. Right on the outskirts of the village it is too far to walk there and back to use the alternative restaurants so do feel a bit trapped. Returned one night at about 10.15 to find the bar being closed up as we walked in, they said they had no-one in for an hour and would only allow us one drink, not acceptable. Otherwise it was OK.

  Great Getaway Hotel

  Stayed one night in one of their Chalets. Loved the setting along the creek and trees. To get to the chalets you need to cross the creek over a wooden footbridge and it just was so charming. And Loved the many fresh flowers around the property. The chalet was cosy and warm, even on a dreary October day/night. The hotel prides itself on their gastronomic experience and their autumn/game themed menu was great and of high quality. The cosy guest lounge has a great big fireplace and that really completed the perfect evening with an after dinner drink by the fire. What really stood out was the friendliness and dedication of the staff and managing couple. Their readiness to serve and genuine cheerful friendliness really made us feel at home. They take your wellbeing serious and that reflects in the service, but also in their commitment to implementing measures to keep guests healthy. We are environmentally conscious people and it was great to see the hotel uses eco friendly soap in dispensers that was actually of very nice quality. Only one regret: we didnt have the time to stay a few more nights. We will be back for more!
