    Do not waste your money on this low-class facility that tries to pass itself off as an any-star hotel

    This is the most unprofessional hotel Ive stayed in. I payed for their most expensive room and they kept denying me access to their amenities. They charged us for services we never used, and kept pressuring us to pay in cash. Our credit card was rendered useless here. The private beach was inaccessible. The reception staff was rude and childish. The parking was horrendous (only a small stretch in front of the door that could fit two cars maximum). The massages sent me to my chiropractor. The food made street food look like five star cuisine. The cleaning crew used so much bleach it would give a passerby a migraine. I would have rather slept on the street. Absolutely would not recommend!

    Would love to come back

    We were looking for a last minute alternative after realising that the desert would be far too hot in July. Les jardins de Toumana was perfect. Five minute walk to the beach, fun and attentive staff, stunningly clean pool, air conditioned apartments, amazing skyline, delicious food, incredible value. We stayed for three nights, initially thought about making trips around the island and out for dinner but the pool, beach and food couldn't be beaten. The kitchens are well equipped if you want to make your own food, but we didn't because the restaurant food is so good and such great value.

    A closer look

    Its a nice place if you want to relax by the pool. That area is clean and the food from the restaurant is mostly good (skip the pizza). It would be nice if there were more local dishes on the snack menu. I was told they have a private beach, yet when I followed the signs to Toumana Beach its just a dirty beach at the end of a road. Theres quite a bit of garbage and animal poo. The resorts on either side do a better job at keeping their beach clean. This area also has A LOT of seaweed in the water and on the beach. Its definitely not the beautiful turquoise water I saw in pictures. I found the beach by La Marsa (near Tunis) to be much nicer. As for the hotel, on first presentation, everything looks nice - reception area, pool, room. ...but upon closer inspection is when you find flaws. The walls in the room had yellow and brown stains. The towel and bed sheets had stains. Room WiFi had no internet access because the network jack wasnt active. Lights outside room didnt work. Theres a kitchen in room but few utensils and no dish soap. The reception staff didnt seem to care and often seemed slightly annoyed at having to help you. The guy who worked the evening shift was particularly bad. I asked about getting a bowl to use in the kitchen and he said probably not but hed check. I knew he wasnt going to bother checking. I also asked about getting the lights outside my room fixed. Similar response - hed check, but I knew he couldnt be bothered. No one working there knew the password for the outdoor WiFi (it had a different password than reception WiFi). If I were to go back, I think Id try to find somewhere by a nicer stretch of beach.

    Fantastic service, great location, great deals!

    We got away to Djerba paradise in August, and paid for half-board (buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, no drinks). The experience overall was great. The rooms were spacious, clean. The buffet food quality varied from ok-to-great. The front desk service from Ahmed was exceptional - he helped us out with any questions, swiftly. Ahmed connected us to a local tours guide who got us great deals on a dromedary tour and a dune buggy drive. The spa had fantastic deals on massages as well, which was great for spoiling the whole family. Lovely pool. The only real frustration was that the Wifi was unreliable in our room. We recommend that you visit here with your family!

    I was there during corona outbreak. Services were limited. Meaning every day clean towels, once a week they supposed to clean the apartment and we had to take our own plates away after eating. Not so bad. However. Apartment when I arrived was dirty. In the kitchen were all over black spots of humidity. Certainly on and in the freezer. It was very noisy. I had the bad luck to have a neighbour who couldnt lift her feet and had no control over her hands while closing doors and windows. Moving all the time the furnisher which made terrible noise. I asked for another room and although everything was free as there were no much guests they offered me a room next to 3 people. I didnt move and asked to at least talk to that woman. They did not. The food was delicious. Excellent cook. Excellent kitchen team. But : the man who served, Kamel, was awful. Breakfast supposed to be till 10.00 oclock. When I came around 09.00 I had to wait till he wanted to serve as because of corona, you were not allowed to serve yourself. Understandable. However in the 4 weeks I was there I only have had maybe 7 times a croissant as they were already taken by the other guests (we were only 8 in the morning). Then around 09.10 the waiter started to be nervous. He wanted to go. Once I said to him that it supposed to be open till 10.00 and the answer was Madame, we cant stay open for only 1 client. Even a second cafe in the morning was not possible as everything from the buffet was gone at 09.15. Obviously he decided to close at 09.30hrs so he could walk along the beach. I felt very uncomfortable and after a couple of days I decided not to come at all anymore for breakfast. Telling it was too early for me. From then war was signed. He served reluctantly in the evening and didnt speak to me at all anymore. I supported that for another 3 days and decided to leave. Yes I had a very bad experience there. I wouldnt have written this if I didnt hear from workers there that I wanted to have a vip treatment. That I wanted to have breakfast from 10 till 12 which is not true. As I have severe long and heart problems I only asked to not smoke in the dining room which they did every evening. The answer I got was but its my friend the doctor . If that makes any difference. Then the cats. They were all over the place. They jumped on the dining tables, were sitting next to guests asking for food, we had to take our own plates away and the cats were licking them. I took pictures to proof all that. When the kitchen was closed during the day the cats were playing on the sinks. With my own eyes I saw that. When I said something about that, again the same server, responded but those are our house cats. Unbelievable !! And in fact very sad that a man like that server has a year contract there l Hes lazy and doesnt want to do anything more than obliged. Ahmed ? He knows too and he said it was allowed to smoke at the reception and apparently also in the dining room. Cats are allowed too. Jumping also out of the garbitch bag (which gives you a heart attaque) next to the place you have to put your plates. I wanted to have a VIP treatment ??
