  Overpriced and huge disappointment

  The only accuracy with the information provided by the booking.com site is that it is a villa with 4 bedrooms with sea view and a private pool. However, when in the villa or standing on the terrace, the sea is beyond a very busy public parking area with lots of cars coming and going, and a public WC! This is not accurate presented on the website. The check-in/out process were efficient and friendly. The terrace is specious, but it is not a closed area, anybody could walk on to the terrace. Clean towel and pool towel were provided daily, which were appreciated. Considering the very high price for the villa, it is a huge disappointment for us because there were several flaws in the villa: The view is not as it was shown on the picture On the day of arrival, the water pumper was broken, each time someone open the tap, wherever in the house, it made so much noise that it awoke the whole house up middle of the night. This was repaired the 2nd day. There was only one shower on the 1st floor with 3 bedrooms (the other was a bath-tube, not practical, due to limited water pressure as well as hot water). The water pressure was very low, especially if someone is using the water on the ground floor. We were 6 persons in a villa for 8 pers. The hot water ran out after 4-5 persons took the shower. The kitchen is poorly made and falling apart, the door to the dish-wash and washing machine can not be closed. The dishwasher was partially brokenthe top part felled out when the machine was full. The maintenance man, who was friendly but could not understand much English could not repair them even after two attempts. The stove was dirty and does not function properly either. The pan was broken, so we bought a new cooking pan and left it in the villa The daily cleaning came very late. Three out of the 6 days, I must call the reception around 3:30-4 pm asking when the cleaning would be done, because we would like to go for swimming and needed clean pool towels. They were super-fast, but not very effective in cleaning. There was a kind insect that made small dust behind the microwave-oven, the cleaning staff did not see it in 3 days. I move the oven; they clean the table but did not clean where the problem was so the next day the table was full of small dust again. In 6 days, they did not vacuum the carpet once! My children liked to walk around in bar feet, they stepped on to some sharp grains on the carpet a few times. The door lock is of a poor and simple type. Since the house is right on a busy public beach with public parking, we did not feel being safe with this type of the lock. When sitting on the terrace to enjoy a drink or dinner, there was a constant noise from the next house's swimming pool pumper, which is only 3 m from the our outdoor dining table.

  Superb

  Everything was excellent!!! We had a luxury spotlessly clean spacious villa which had everything we could need. Beautifully decorated and modern. The design and the details really make these villas unique. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to satisfy all our needs. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

  My family and parents in law stayed in a wonderful villa the second last week of August and we had a fantastic holiday. Everyone was very kind, friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. This is very much appreciated when you travel with young children. The cleaning service was excellent and all the facilities beautifully kept. We cant wait to go back again!

  Excellent Accomodation - definitely worth a vist

  A great place to stay if you want the luxury treatment. I cannot fault the service we received from the moment we booked, the reception staff were really helpful and everything including the transfer was perfect. The Management Team were also great and the special little touches that we received during our stay were great. The Villas themselves have a beautiful sea view and are modern, well equipped and kept exceptionally clean. We didn't use all the facilities of the Hotel as the Villa was so lovely but the Cyprus night was great with good food and entertainment. All in all a very lovely place to stay and I would fully recommend it. Thank you Louis Althea Kalamies we shall hopefully return again soon.

  Well overprice and wouldn't consider 5*

  We were really looking forward to our stay at Louis Althea Kamaies Luxury Villas given the photos and reviews on Trip Adviser. On the positive side........ the villas are very well located for restaurants and the beach and were nicely decorated if a little tired looking. The beds were really comfy and aircon was great. We stayed in a three bed which was spacious and well equipped for self catering. Beds and towels changed daily and bins emptied, cleaning though left a lot to be desired. The big let down for us though was the pool area. There were six sunbeds around the pool which left absolultely no room to walk around the patio area without having to clamber over said sunbeds and risking falling into the pool unintentionally. The sunbeds couldn't be moved due to the severe restriciton in space. There were two sun umbrellas which were bolted to the floor so again unable to move. For the whole duration of our holiday (two weeks) there were dead roaches and crickets around the pool area. The pool itself though, was cleaned daily!. This pretty much rendered the pool area unusable for us which was a great pity. We also had a few minor issues with maintenance. These though were attended to straight away. Check in and out was at the neighbouring hotel were staff were efficient though not particularly friendly. Late checkout is charged at 160 euros for an extra six hours!!! We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and the food was truly diabolical. Stongly advise to give that a miss and save yourself 24 euros per head!! We have stayed in numerous 5* accommodations in Cyprus and these 'luxury' villas don't meet our standard of 5*. Would we stay there again? Not at the price we paid!!
