  Tired delapidated lodge, terrible food at a high price. Avoid it!

  This place is run down and falling apart. The restaurant is a complete rip off. They only offer a horrible buffet dinner and no prices are advertised so guest have no idea on how much they are paying for their food. Avoid this place. There are better options

  Midgard

  The stay was great for the most part. I only had a few issues with the service. Upon arrival, nobody helped us carry our bags to our room. When checking out, the reception staff seemed very confused and didn't want to give me proof of payment, until I refused to leave without one. On New Year's Eve, we were charged N$470 per person for dinner. This made no sense to me because everyone at my table could barely eat. That was probably the worst food we had while we were there. The dinner and lunch that we had on the night before and the day after were WAY better and they cost less. I would have rather paid N$470 for the dinner I had on January 1st. The best part of Midgard is definitely the staff at the restaurant, from the chef, servers and waitress, they were all amazing. The housekeeping staff were also lovely and really kind. Overall, I'd still recommend Midgard to a friend

  A weekend to finish a book

  I visited Midgard to complete my book. All i wanted was to read it in a quiet space, and I got just that. The room was amazing, the staff were friendly and the food was exquisite. It was such a green place.. I even managed to complete reading my book.

  Lodge undergoing a revamp

  Visited the lodge for a weekend with the family. Unfortunately, only to find out the lodge is undergoing a revamp. For lunch and dinner only buffet offered, after being told al la carte is available. Buffet was sub standard at N$250pp... Additionally they were advertising a special, but when we were checking out, were told we didn't qualify because we did not book it as such. Hopefully with the new upgrade the quality and service will improve, but for now not worth going.

  Awesome family weekend

  The service was excellent, friendly service from the welcome up to the cleaning department. Excellent and healthy food. Covid regulations are maintained all over the lodge. Jeanette interacted with us and all other tables as we observed. Thank you so much for an awesome Get away Midgard!
