  1st trip here, but wont be our last!

  Ok...where do I start? This place is amazing! Initially I booked a studio room for my wife and I. At the last minute our daughter came home from college and wanted to join us. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful in assisting us in upgrading to a suite style room. When we arrived we were met by the friendliest and most courteous front desk staff. Once we got into the room we had a personalized note with chocolates awaiting us on the bed. The room was spacious and absolutely immaculately cleaned. Im a big guy (65, 340), and after years of playing football suffer from chronic knee and back pain. The chair in the bedroom was a godsend! It was sturdy and sat high enough to get in and out of without putting added stress on my knees. The king sized bed was comfy and the television had a large variety of stations to close from. The next morning we went downstairs for breakfast. The special attention to COVID-19 protocols to assure that the food was protected was greatly appreciated. The property manager that checked us in even remembered our names from the day before. It is that kind of personalized care that sets this hotel apart from the countless hotels weve stayed at in the past. What made it even more special was a surprise snowfall we were greeted with at check in. It was our first stay at The Lodge at Flat Rock but it definitely wont be our last.

  Best Place I have ever stayed!!!

  First off, I am very particular about the places I stay. I like to get my moneys worth and I expect high quality at a reasonable rate. This place had that plus so much more. They really do treat you like family. They personalize your stay and call you by name whenever they speak to you. I thought those days were way gone or only seen in movies. If I needed anything, they bent over backwards to help. On our way back from the pool, they overheard my son wanting some of the powered doughnuts they had at breakfast. The owner, said no worry and went to get him a pack. Most places would have never done this. In addition to that, it was my friend's son's birthday. They allowed us to roast marshmallows at the fireplace outside. Once they saw us headed to the fire pit area with our supplies, they made sure that the area was cleaned off and the fire was ready. The other nights we were there they made sure the outside area was cleaned off and the pool area had plenty of clean and dry towels. Most hotels in my opinion lack the little touches that make a stay so much more enjoyable. Then what floored me even more was how dog friendly the place was. I would have never guessed it. They made sure that even the furry friends felt welcomed. Finally, with Covid, they made this as normal an experience as possible. Not once did I feel that they were not following all the rules to keep us safe. Overall, I would give this place 6 stars out of 5 if I could. It was awesome. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone.

  Loved This Place - Stayed an Extra Night!

  We loved this place. The staff is SO friendly and nice. We were greeted as old friends and by the time we were done checking in, we felt like old friends! Our room was lovely and had everything we needed to make a light meal or reheat leftovers (utensils, microwave, frying pan, plates, bowls, etc). We took full advantage of (and really enjoyed!) the indoor pool and the outdoor deck. And we were impressed with breakfast - even though everything needed to be individually packaged and wrapped (Covid..._) - it was still satisfying and delicious. There is so much to do in the area and the location is great. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to extend an extra night. We're definitely already planning our next stay.

  The lodge at flat rock

  This is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms are immaculate and nice with all the amenities of home. Super modern appliances and a big new smart tv w/WiFi. The staffing are top of the line and treat you like family, and they are super pet friendly. I stayed at the lodge for 3 months and actually got to know scott and his employees. They were extremely veteran friendly as well. They even got my dog a Christmas gift on Christmas!! Lol. The lobby is one of the most beautiful designs I've saw and the fire pit out back is so gorgeous and relaxing. They serve an awesome hot breakfast even during pandemic conditions. It's definitely something you would expect at a much higher rate. I have been known to be picky but I'm rating this with the highest possible number.

  A Home Away

  I can not say enough good things about The Lodge. We needed a place to stay while waiting for our new house and the staff really made us feel at home. Clean and about as quiet as a hotel can be. The pool is warm and inviting. You know you are home as soon as walk in. Add Scott the owner who is always there with a honest concern for your comfort. He will forever be considered a member of the family. Thanks Scott for making us feel at home. The only place to stay in the Hendersonville area.
