  Well appointed, comfortable

  The suites with kitchens are large, well appointed and comfortable. I found the decor to cold and impersonal, but that is a matter of personal taste. The warm breakfast was a bit above average, but sadly with no variations from day to day. It would be great if they had a restaurant on premises, your choice in town are not that great and not that many. All in all, a solid recommendation if you want to stay in Vermilion.

  Clean, modern hotel with waterslide

  I stayed at the Pomeroy for three nights with my husband and son over the Thanksgiving weekend. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but I found the hotel lacked a "wow" factor. To be fair though, after having read all the positive reviews and hearing good things about other Pomeroy hotels, I think I had overly high expectations. Pros: -modern, attractive new hotel -room had mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig -pool, waterslide, and hot tub were fun -large, attractive breakfast room with free breakfast with long breakfast hours (5-10 am) Cons: -breakfast - A free, hot breakfast is always nice, but overall this one was disappointing. After reading positive reviews of the breakfast, I was expecting it to be pretty good. It was similar to other free hotel hot breakfasts. You can see that an attempt is being made to make it a bit special - e.g. had three flavours of make your own waffle mix, four kinds of juice - but missed the mark for us, as many of the items had run out (including some of waffle mix flavours and juice flavours, but even basics such as milk). It seemed perhaps this was due to insufficient staffing. At most other hotel breakfasts, you usually see one employee who seems to be tasked just with replenishing the breakfast (at least during breakfast hours). Here it seemed like that was not the case, so staff members were just coming when they had the chance, so were just too busy to give the breakfast much attention. Some items (e.g. cereals) were even not replenished from one day to the next. At least this is what we found the first two days. The third day we did not stay for breakfast, but I peaked in the breakfast room before we left and it appeared to be better stocked. -bedding: Both my son and I found the bedding to be uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping. -our room (2 queens) seemed on the small side compared to similar rooms at other hotels, although this isn't a big issue for us -pool, although very nice, didn't have much seating around it I give the hotel a "4" as a compromise between what I would give it (3) and what my six year old son gave it (5 - as it meet all his checkboxes - pool, waterslide, hot tub, and fruit loops!).

  Excellent customer service and no parking issues !

  I'm staying for work , and as hard as it is being away from my family - Brandy has made my stay absolutely amazing . From just a friendly smiling face to helping with a phone charger- her professionalism is unmatched . She is Constantly going on and above for all customers - her efforts are welcomed and recognized by all on my crew . Beds are great - location is excellent for long stays .

  Completely disappointed

  I must say, at first when I checked in, it was great. But it quickly went downhill. Between being woke up from the front desk due to their being an error and the evening clerk calling my room at 9pm, to kids running down hallways and stomping and screaming in the room above mine and three phone calls to the front and it still didnt stop, to dogs barking in the halls, it was an awful stay. The lady who checked us in was great. But I have never been to a point of wanting to leave a hotel until this visit. We have another tournament here and I will not be staying or recommending to stay here.

  Nice rooms

  Rooms were large decent price, clean, pet friendly, staff were super friendly and helpful. Restaurants were close by, close to major highway and easy to find. Dispensary and liquor store close by Had a great stay
