  Nice clean place, modern enough but is approaching uplifting requirements..

  Loved the quiet 4th floor room with King bed! My air condition was bit quirky(stiff manual buttons and not the best control, electronic thermostat would help lots). Had clean sheets, comfy pillows and most important very comfy mattress! Has Sharp big screen(I love Sharp's pictures & colours). Shower was perfect! Very satisfied except for minor air condition thing(it worked fine - but just not the best temp control).

  Major Need of Reno

  This was our third hotel stop of four as we travelled from St. John's to Deer Lake in Newfoundland and it was our least favourite. We believe quality is in the details and this hotel just doesn't cut it. We were allowed early check in by the friendly girl at the front desk. It is a huge hotel in major need of a renovations. The lighting in our room was dim and inadequate. No matter how much they clean, old never looks clean or comfortable. We were placed in a room that had a door that separated our neighbors in an adjoining suite. You could hear the noise from next door all evening and well into the early morning by inconsiderate guests slamming doors and screaming at the top of their lungs. This is not a fault of the hotel or the reason for the low rating. Ot is time for a renovation. We were glad that it was only a one night stay.

  A good hotel to stop in when travelling across Newfoundland.

  Everything I could expect went to plan during my stay: check in was fast and efficient, the whole hotel including my room was very clean. The bathroom in my room looked modern and recently replaced (and very clean too). The wi-fi worked well and was fast. My room was on the 4th level and faced the lake and also the main road and whilst I could just here traffic passing it wasn't excessively noisy and didn't keep me awake. Only things I could fault it on: it would be nice in the rooms if the cups for the coffee were real mugs not paper cups. It's a bit on the pricey side - but then all the hotels in town are similarly priced so I guess this is just the Gander hotel room rate. All in all I would stay here again if passing through Gander.

  Conveniently Located

  On Thursday August 15th, 2019, my wife and I arrived mid afternoon at our Choice Hotel destination, the 137-guest room Quality Hotel & Suites, situated at 100 Trans Canada Highway in Gander. It is conveniently located with an easy access for travellers crossing NFLD. For checking in, we were welcomed by two friendly front desk staff. Going up to our room we noticed the dark colored corridors. Our 2nd floor Queen room was adequate in size, had a plain wallpaper décor and was accompanied with a large mirror, wall lights, dark red drapes, a picture frame and a dark wooden mahogany headboard. The floors were finished with a dark floral carpet. The outside views from our bedroom window overlooked the side of the hotel with trees and bushes. The two queen beds with the many pillows were comfortable, and the bathroom had a white granite countertop with all the basic toiletries and hair dryer. The covered mini fridge, the coffee maker, a medium sized HDTV screen, the in room desk and with chair and free WIFI are some of the good attributes of this bedroom. The air conditioning system was a bit noisy and could handle the entire room and that day there was lots of space in the front parking lot. We did not have the chance to try the indoor heated pool as it had a strong chlorine smell and was quite busy. Next morning the free continental buffet breakfast was tasty and great. For the price, quality, service and noise factor, we would rate our stay at this hotel as 4 stars.

  Good quality for the price

  This is a good solid place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are good (comfortable, clean, reasonable size) but getting close to need of an update. When travelling to Gander this is my first choice hotel. And it is always busy. A full hot breakfast in included. Location is on the highway and within easy access of the downtown area.
