    Great place to stay!

    We stayed here one night on the way home from the Outer Banks. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Just a few miles north of Dover and while there are not as many choices for restaurants, there are enough places near this hotel. Its location offers easy access to 1. The hotel does not have a roadside sign and while we could see it from the road, it was dark when we arrived and took us a bit to figure out how to get to it! We will definitely stop here again.

    Overnight

    Clean lobby& rooms. Staff were very friendly! Plenty of parking. Grocery store across the parking lot as well as a Dunkin Donuts. Good selection of breakfast items. Easy access to toll road. I would stay there again.

    Terrible from the start

    They were very rude. I have a service animal that is with me at all times. I finally get a room and am told that they are keeping my $100 security deposit because they have to fumigate the room after. This is highly illegal. I bring that up to the desk person they insisted on having paperwork to show hes a service animal again highly illegal according to the ADA 1990. This is a horrible hotel the room was dirty and the lady refused to do anything about it. Random trash, used shampoo bottles, poop on the toilet seat, fresh stains on the sheets, and hair like someone shaved in the sink. They tell me no this room has been cleaned.

    Bait and switch

    Tried to book online but the site would not take info so I called and was told dont worry about it, come on down. I printed the online price and went and they gave a higher price. When I questioned it and tried to show them he said I dont need to see that. This is our price, do you want to book it. Ive stayed there before and work a few times a month in the area. Not the nicest hotel but a few dollars cheaper than some others. Not worth it Theyve lost my business this night and all going forward.

    Cannot Recommend - Stay Elsewhere

    1. Delaware has a mask mandate. The front desk clerk was not wearing a mask. 2. Front desk clerk was less than friendly. I would describe her as 'surly'. 3. I had requested a first floor room and was told one was not available, but the hotel was almost empty. I think first floor rooms were available, but they didn't want to give me one. I also requested a room that was not used the night before - have no clue if this was true or not. 4. Choice hotels are supposed to recognize and offer a property gift to the loyalty club members. I am the highest level and received neither recognition nor gift. 5. Sign on the front desk said that all credit cards would have a $150 hold against them for 'incidentals'. Have no idea why since the property has nothing to sell other than the rooms. 6. A/C unit did not work properly and I had to be moved to another room. Went to front desk to get key to new room and clerk asked for the key to my current room and asked if I have already moved my things. HUH? I didn't know where I was being moved to nor did I have a key. I had to assure her that I'd bring the old room key back before she would give me the new room key. I was made to feel like I was trying to scam them out of a second room for the night. Seriously? 7. TV remote did not work in the new room. Took to front desk for new batteries. Still does not work. Gave up since I knew there was no point in talking to the front desk again. 8. Went to breakfast less than 1 hour after opening. Breakfast offerings: Coffee, tea, and juice. Three types of cereal. About 10 fruit cups. 8 pieces of bread. This paltry offering confirmed my suspicion that hotel was mostly empty and I should have gotten the first floor room I requested. I would have overlooked each of these things individually, but taken together they speak to a poorly managed hotel. Take your money elsewhere.
