  70's retro....dated but clean

  First of all the journey to get here...... driving late at night through winding roads in the pitch black is an experience to say the least.... turned up at the hotel at 11:30 and it was locked up and silent, finally managed to rouse the night porter and on his appearance my mind started racing to scenes from 'The Shining' with Jack Nicholson.... nice place, stuck in a dated time warp with an odd looking host!! The room was large and clean but very dated and the solid pine furniture looks like it has a good few years of use left... TV on a bracket in the corner of the room did not work and I also proceeded to fuse the whole hotel when replacing a bulb at the side of the bed....so in darkness I climbed in bed and pulled the luxurious duvet over me....next problem, small single duvet does not suit a large naked bloke (not a good sight) so I unravelled the other duvet and made do as best as I could. Woke up with warm feet and a suffocated head with a completely naked torso (worse sight)....... Went to the dated bathroom for a shower, complete with surrounding shower curtain just waiting for the knife attack ( The classic scene from the Shining) but was mercifully spared.... Went down for a very basic breakfast in a dated and tired eating area and sat admiring the view...of the open cow shed directly opposite....not picturesque!....ate quickly and departed... Positive comments...Cheap, Clean....superb drive into work through picturesque scenery

  Un buen descanso

  Si se busca un hotel para el descanso.Habitación amplia, luminosa y tranquila. Las dependencias comunes cuidadas con detalle y un toque personal, me gustó la estancia en esta ciudad pequeña. Recomendable. Tiene restaurante en el que se puede tomar una cena reparadora de calidad (la ensalada un poco escasa) es el único defecto que pondría a la noche.

  Beautiful and close to nature

  Service here was really good. The owner spoke good English and helped us get to a closely restaurant when we arrived late. The rooms were really big and newly renovated. Clean and nice. Great view from our balcony and a really nice bar. We were unfortunately not able to eat since the restaurant was closed on our arrival, but the pub was really nice. The breakfast was incredible. I would definitely recommend both family's and couples to come here.

  Country hotel

  In a quiet farming village the hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard. Comfy beds, modern ensuites. Then there's the friendly staff and locals and the great food. I would love to stay longer next time as its in the midst of great walking routes and cycling routes.

  Large rooms and great food at a very nice rate

  We (2 adults, 4 kids) just had a stopover at the raffelsteiner on our way to Austria. Although the village itself isn't worth much and the location isn't nicely situaties, the hotel in its category stands out in terms of the rooms (large rooms, brand new high standard bathrooms, good bedding) and its catering: both breakfast as well as diner were at 4* standard.
