  El más auténtico hotel de la India. El Marigol y mucho más.

  En el campo en un pequeño pueblo rural, estuvimos 3 noches fantásticas. El encargado, Nitin, cuida a sus huespedes con un trato familiar y con gran profesionalidad. Mojan, su ayudante, es el complemento perfecto a este hotel, siempre pendiente ajudarte. El hotel no pretende ser un hotel más sinó un elemento diferenciador y con encanto, donde la paz, la tranquilidad se pueden encontrar facilmente. La cocina, es de un gran nivel. Cuidan al visitante de tal manera que no tubimos ningún problema de barriga ni similar. Precios ajustados y comida riquisima. Tambien el hotel ofrece actividades, entre las cuales se encuentran la visita al pueblo Ravla en Khempur donde hay el hotel y una salida de una tarde a una ciudad cercana para ver la estampación de telas a mano. Estas dos las hicimos y las recomendamos. En diciembre ya se havia comenzado a construir una piscina con encanto: un piscina con un lado a la gran sala donde se come, y otro lado de caras a las cuadras de los caballos. Dentro del recinto del hotel, se puede encontrar un pequeño templo, se puede tomar el sol o la sombra en un gran jardin. En las multiples terrazas a diferentes niveles que tiene el hotel se puede ver salir el sol, o disfrutar de la puesta del sol. Todo preparado para el descanso y tranquilidad. El hotel esta situado en zona rural, a parte de las visitas en las cercanias que ya he comentado, a una hora de camino hay infitas posibilidades de visitas: Nosotros hicimos parte de Udaipur y un par de templos entre ellos el Sas-Bahu. Tuvimos tambien la oportunidad de conocer al propietario del hotel Marigol, que dipone de almenos 2 hoteles en Udaipur. En nuestra visita a Udaipur visitamos uno de ellos, el Hotel Sarovar, que tiene vista al lago Pichola. Aunque no dormimos en este hotel si que comimos y tambien lo recomiendo. Una buena opción para una seguda visita al Marigol, seria passar unas noches en el Hotel Sarovar, para conocer mejor Udaipur y sus entornos. Fue un gran comienzo para la primera visita a la India y que recordamos con gran aprecio.

  Un lugar fantastico

  Es uno de los lugares más auténticos en los que estuve durante mi viaje a la India. Des del momento que llegamos, Nitin el encargado, hizo que nos sintiéramos cómodos y estuvo pendiente de nosotros, durante toda nuestra estancia. Por otra parte su ayudante Mohan nos atendió en todo momento e incluso el día de nuestra llegada nos hizo una visita recorriendo los diferentes escenarios del hotel dónde se rodaron las películas "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" y "The second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel". Es un hotel donde todo es perfecto, el ambiente, el personal, la tranquilidad de estar en el campo, la amabilidad de la gente etc. Todo junto hace que sea una experiencia única, sin duda recomiendo el Hote Ravla Khempur!!

  Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

  The most amazing place. The staff really wonderful. We picked strawberries on their organic farm, which were really sweet and tasty. The food was superb, everything tasted fresh and delicious. We watched the film in the evening and spent ages exploring and finding where all the filming happened. Them we met the horses!!! Fantastic. The most amazing place and the highlight of out trip. Thank you for a wonderful time.

  Highlight of our India trip - staff and food were excellent

  We are two mid-twenties who tried to squeeze in a visit to see this hotel after being a fan of the film for years. We were so glad we came to visit for lunch, we had a tour of the beautiful building and grounds with amazing anecdotes. We stayed for lunch which was lovingly prepared to suit our dietary requirements - veggie and vegan. The staff couldn't do more for us, offering us anything we wanted and ensured we felt we had a home in India. We didn't need to ask for anything, the staff were kind and attentive and were equally as gracious to the other guests at the hotel. They even put on the film for guests to enjoy and added stories while watching. We were offered the use of the pool after our lunch with use of a beautiful room to put our bags and change. We were gutted we were not able to stay overnight and are planning to come back to stay. The road there is local/rural so we were not sure what to expect, but once we saw the gates to the hotel it was a non stop amazing experience. We even got tattoos to mark the occasion with the quote 'it is not yet the end' from the film! Thank you to the staff for an amazing day! Lots of love Katie and Grace

  We will always have a home in India at Ravla Khempur

  As two twenty somethings who are big fans of the best exotic marigold hotel we knew that we had to go and see the Ravla Khempur whilst in Udapur. The hotel is about a 45 min taxi drive from the city (which is no problem as taxi's are super cheap and you get to see so many interesting villages on the way!). We had no idea what to expect but the staff and hotel blew our minds. The staff met us at the entrance, and gave us somewhere to leave our bag. We were taken on a full tour of the hotel, and were given lots of insider stories on filming. The tour was at our pace and we were never rushed which was great. You can tell that the guys who run the hotel are super passionate about the hotel and it's history. We then sat down for lunch, which the chef had prepared to be all vegan and veggie for us and which was super delicious. Especially loved the fresh chapati that was brought out every ten mins or so. The staff were super attentive. After lunch, despite us not having booked a room, we were offered free use of the pool with towels and a room to change and leave our valuables (which was actually one of the ones used in the film!). We spent the afternoon chilling out, drinking gin and tonics in the sun and playing with toffee - the most adorable little puppy i have ever seen. Unfortunately we couldn't stay as we were on a tight schedule, but we will definitely be returning as soon as possible to stay for longer. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are lush. One thing will always stick with us - the staff told us that we "will always have a home in India at the Ravla Khempur". <3
