    Evening Social

    My husband and I were staying at the inn while looking for a home. Cynthia at the evening social made us feel welcomed. It was a pleasure speaking with her every night. She not only poured our drinks, but cleared our plates. We appreciate her making us feel at home.

    No room keys, COVID concern & hateful front desk staff

    We arrived very late on 8-21-20 and were advised after we checked in that the key card machine wasnt working. We were told that security would probably have to let us in our room because the key theyd just handed us wouldnt work. They said thats the key s should be fixed the next day. We had to make a trip back to the office after trying the key card and ask for security. Security came and unlocked our room then proceeded to walk all through it. With COVID being a major concern, I didnt understand why they had staff walking through our room after unlocking it. The next day, August 22, 2020 we leave the room and come back to find our key still doesnt work. The front desk clerk working at 6:30pm took our key and said the machine still wasnt working, and advised a staff person would have to unlock our room so wed could access our belongings. We asked for a refund or a discount and the clerk said they dont issue refunds. Shes was extremely rude. We were not Vienna another key and advised that any time wed needed in our room that wed would have to go to the front desk and ask for someone to unlock it. Once again, a staff person was sent to outback room. He unlocked it and entered and did not have a mask on. Again, With COVID concerns, we didnt understand why staff were entering our room after unlocking the door and doing so without a mask. We ended up leaving by 8pm that day and paying for a night that we didnt use because we couldnt get into outback room without a hassle, and because we didnt like the thought of strangers entering our room without masks. Their website doesnt tell you that you wont get a key to your room. They dont follow their own COVID policies. Their front desk staff are extremely rude. They dont issue a refund for not providing you with a key to access your personal belongings. Do not stay at this place.

    Great Place

    First, I wish I would ha e taken pics to show my room. I rented the 2 bedroom Penthouse last minute due to not being happy at the Embassy. This hotel was nothing short of great. The room was so spacious! I had plenty room to walk my Yorkie. My kids had the upstairs loft and it had a kitchen to cook dinner. The key card machine was down my entire visit so each time I needed to get back in the front desk had to let me in. In all honesty it wasnt a big inconvenience as they were super sweet and welcoming! This will be my go place the next time I am there!!

    Budget & pet-friendly overnight stay

    We were passing though town and booked this place because we needed something pet-friendly. Price was very reasonable and service was fine but the room left a bit to be desired. This is an older Residence Inn property and is definitely in need of an update. Nothing was overtly filthy but the room was clearly well-worn and had a bit of a dirty/damp smell and appearance to it. This probably isn't the case with all the rooms based on the reviews I checked before booking but this was definitely not our best Marriott experience. Overall a decent option if you need something cheap and pet-friendly but otherwise there are better options in the area. There's a very new-looking Fairfield property nearby that appears quite nice.

    Quality of Cleaning and hospitality is not existent . Dirty, not following through the requests..

    I'm well-traveled and I always use Marriot, however, this is the worst place I have seen in years including 3rd world countries. 1st day as a new guest - Dirty dishes in the sink( i think they wanted me to clean other guests dishes ) I had to be moved 2 times Hair on the screen in the shower clogged my first shower and had to clean it myself The linen is not locked and secured anyone and any guest can do anything with it however are Covid. Manager not following on requests Staff are on the cellphone at the front desk and they are putting on hold to complete personal conversations ( no hospitality) 1st week requested cleaning, to find out that they do not clean kitchen beacuse of covid . No food on the counters , no pots left on top of the kitchen , no plates ....one pot in the sink .The floor or the counter top was not cleaned 2nd week , they have decided to move my set cleaning day without informing me , when I have specifically requested more than 3 times, that I want cleaning on Fridays and requested acknowledgment, which was given by the manager. The male manager is not able to receive complaints unless he is the only one talking Are treating us as we do not know as we are in some fog industry, they are saying they cannot clean because of Covid and NC governor ( I called Hilton Across and they do cleaning ... they make you think we are not knowing the guidelines in leave in some kinda bubble) The Fitness room is dirty and has no sanitizer available as the other locations 2 WEEKS and
