  Relaxing Alternative to a gite holiday - could be better value.

  We stayed at le Hameau in August 2010 with three adults and two children & 10. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful, and the accomodation was, whilst basic and slightly cramped, clean and bright. The Hotel is set around a good sized pool and the predominantly(exclusively whilst we were there) French clientelle were well behaved and polite to us as the only English in the place. We felt that the hotel could have offered for free, some of the extras it charged for, especially Wifi, TV and barbeques, especially when charging the high season rates they were at the time. Montignac is a lovely small town and a great base for exploring the Dordogne and Lot regions.

  we had a wonderful holiday staying in this hotel The location is very good to travel around in the region of dordogne and the town is very pleasant - we felt almost at home for a week as I am also french speaker It helps very much to speak the language and we had our kitchen so we could get fruit and vegetables and make our breakfast and dinner buying the fresh baguette and cakes at the town or in our trips

  Another good stay in Dordogne

  Another parc that is great to explore Dordogne. Yes, there is a pool, but it is small and full in high season. Yes, there is some entertainment. But don't go here if you're planning on staying on the parc half the time. Go here to eat, sleep and relax. And explore beautiful Dordogne. This parc is a good base to have a great vacation.

  Nice as a Base!

  Stayed here for a week after travelling down from Brittany. Ideal as a Base for exploring the Dordogne. Basic accommodation but is a pet friendly place. We were lucky to get a house which accommodated seven people with three bedrooms, two bathrooms but only one toilet on the ground Floor! Luckily there were only two of us. Basic implements, no cookery just a microwave and hob. Large fridge and dishwasher, but no kettle, toaster or fan for the hot weather we had this week. Has central heating for the colder times though. Would stay again if we were down this way as its central to Montignac.
