  Disappointed

  We booked for 3 nights having viewed the website - everything looked great. Over 400 per night, one would expect total luxury. Well, we couldnt have been more disappointed. Whilst the room is well appointed, the ambience of the place is of a much lower quality. There are children in bicycles everywhere - not ideal for a romantic getaway. With our room, we were guaranteed an umbrella and two beds on the beach in the front row. We picked up our towels and then had to walk all the way to the end of the beach to find our beds. The towels are like bath towels - but beach towels. We asked what to do with our towels after the beach - the response was take them to your rooms. Really? We cant have a fresh towel each day after paying 400 per night? The pizzeria and grill has a view overlooking a car park - seriously? With a location on the beach, one would think they could position the restaurant with a nice view. It was hot I sure, there was not much air circulation thanks to sone rather high glass barriers. Food was very average. I ordered grilled fish and prawns and it arrived within 3 minutes, before we had even received our bottle of Prosecco. Clearly the food had been sitting there cooked for some time. The pesce spada and calamari were like rubber. The bottle of Prosecco cost 27 - you can buy it for around 7 online. I then waited 15 minutes for my husbands spaghetti vongole to arrive. We tried the bar in the evening - it was full of people, which is usually a good sign. There was one single woman working the bar - clearly stressed trying to fulfill all the orders. It took sone time to have our order taken. So then for breakfast, we had higher hopes of La Palma restaurant. Needless to say, any restaurant that has fake / synthetic grass is a big turn off for me. It was big, impersonal and again, no view. Breakfast was typical buffet style - not really my favorite. If I could cancel the rest of my booking and go sone where else - I would. Would never return here and would not Recommend it for couples.

  Terrible customer service! Avoid this place!

  Usually I would write my review focusing on the room (ridiculously small, but efficient and at least with enough closet space), the bathroom (OKish, even though handles to put big towels on are missing), food quality (it depends, let's say it was average), staff (generally very friendly, particularly at the main restaurant), the beach (not great, with Covid-19 distancing measures definitely NOT respected between chaises longues), and the price range, which is abundantly too high considering everything (you pay much less at a top luxury resort in Seychelles). Instead, I must report an incident which I believe to be grave and which could have turned out in a very serious way. One day during our stay, I put one of my 4 year-old son's toys, a green turtle stuffed animal, on a table and didn't find it when I got back to the room. I reported the incident immediately and was told that on the day the bed sheets are changed this can happen, but that usually everything gets found. This was not the case, and not only did I have to ask multiple times to search for the toy, but I didn't even receive an apology of any kind. On the contrary, when I suggested that perhaps one of the cleaning ladies may have taken it, I was told that most likely it was my son's fault because he lost his toy and that it was abolutely impossible that anyone could have taken it. At that moment I pointed out the obvious - they just don't get it - which is the fact it was a matter of SECURITY in my room and that if the "taken" item" had been my car key, my wallet, my DSLR camera, or any other valuable object, the conversation would have included the police. No answer, no apology, nothing, just some attitude by the people at the front desk. I strongly advise any traveler to stay away from this hotel, which is not only overpriced despite being mediocre, but also unsafe.

  Amazing place for a total relax

  Me and my hubby got to Riva del Sole after finding this resort on internet.. The place is all renovated and new, we stayed in a great hotel room, we had an excellent service in the hotel and we ate beautifully in the restaurants, La Palma is upper class with an upscale design, and the Pizzeria is cool, young and serves great food... We are super tanned relaxed and absolutely sure of going back next summer. Thank you for the great vacation :)

  A lush stay in a resort that feels like an island of peace

  The facilities are exceptional and the management's attention to detail in everything from decor to breakfast servings is beyond anything I've experienced elsewhere. The restaurants and bars are all in great settings and very peaceful while serving delicious food and with a great selection of high-quality liquor and wines. The beach area and the pool are lush and the amount of sports/watersports available to guests is almost excessive, as you'd need to stay there for months on end to get bored of them. Most importantly, courtesy and respect from the staff were flawless. I'd come back in a heartbeat!

  What a great property

  We spent two nights at the hotel of this wonderful resort and really enjoyed our stay. The property which is sorrounded by a pine forest comprises a 4 star hotel of very high standards and bungalows apartments spread over a large area just in front of the sea. We found it a great place to relax and to visit an enchanting area of Tuscany. The pictoresque village of Castiglione della Pescaia is just 2 km away and we reached it on foot on a pedestrian path. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pine forest and all the facilities and amenities of an international 5 star property. The room and several public areas appeared to be recently renovated and perfectly maintained. We had the opportunity to visit the banqueting and convention area and we were impressed by the decor and functionality obviously the work of an Interior Decorator well versed in hotel operation. The employees were friendly and were happy to advise us on activities and places to visit. Unfortunately our stay was too short to be able to take advantage of all the facilities but we hope to return in the coming years.
