  Beware of weddings

  We planned a weekend in one of the best locations in Moscow, near Patriarchy pond, in an art-nouveau building by Theodor Shekhtel. Instead we met a terrible wedding, which had been occupying all the courtyard with absolutely crazy ceremonial woman, shouting her endless self-written poem about a couple so loudly it should be heard in kremlin. When will it end? At 11.30 pm manager said. And what about tomorrow? Also a wedding. While I was spoken at reception, a waiter of a wedding had shouted on my wife for our baby ball playing at the hall. After that we just turned around and gone. Nothing worth this kind of service.

  Good and quite

  Very quite hotel with good price and breakfast. If you like very small and friendly rooms, this is for you. Close to the city center it has cool interior and rooms design. Clean and nicely packed. Especially on weekends you will face problems with booking because of many weddings.

  Beware... a hotel with Soviet mentality

  NIce location but... the breakfast is inedible; the room is small and cramped; a TV fell out of the wall nearly missing me and after that, the hotel asked for a daily rate to allow a 3 hour late checkout; when I declined, at 10 min past noon, the reception was calling every 5 minutes to rush me out of the room. Avoid!

  Unusual hotel

  This a fairly small, almost boutique hotel. The facilitiy seems to be very popular as a wedding venue. the rooms are small but functional. The location is convenient. close to the metro and not far from the city center. Unlike previous reviews, I found both the staff helpful, and the breakfast decent. I guess your perception depends on your attitude and expectations.

  Very comfy and close to the center

  We booked the hotel last-minute, after having an issue with a reservation in another hotel. We arrived approximately around midnight, and there seemed to be last guests of a wedding that has just ended. But, during our two-night stay there were no weddings in the hotel. Both young ladies at the reception were nice, welcoming and helpful. The room was small but clean and equipped with all needed facilities, as well as bottles of water on a daily basis and a kettle with tea and coffee bags. Breakfast was served 8:00 to 10:00, but if for any special reasons you need to eat earlier, it is possible. The food was nice and fresh (basic assortment - eggs, cheese, vegetables, cakes, bread). The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Tverskaya and a15-20 minutes from the Red Square, and about 5 minutes walk to the closest metro station. I would recommend the hotel! The inner decoration 18th century style, as amusing it might look, it is actually quite nice and make this hotel more interesting than any other "regular" hotel. I believe that before booking you should contact the hotel if you want to avoid the weddings in the front yard, that were mentioned in other reviews.
