  Bastante bien

  La isla es ideal. La playa que tiene el hotel es ESPECTACULAR. Y en si, el funcionamiento del hotel está bien. Son limpios y las habitaciones están muy correctas. La decoración no es de mi gusto, pero no considero que sea importante, al menos en mi caso. La única pega que puedo ponerle es que se pasan con los precios de las comidas. Pueden hacerlo porque no hay nada más en la isla, así que se aprovechan. Por lo demás, bastante bien.

  Overpriced, poor maintenance, sand-flies on beaches

  Paid for Garden Villas for 4 days. In short: Good/Ok - pool is good and relatively clean - overall staff behaviour is friendly - (full-board) food is ok, breakfast subpar. - great location, right by the snorkelling point. We spent hours everyday snorkelling. - good inbound and outbound boat hours compared to other resorts. - jacuzzi in bathroom, although only cold water is available. Not Good - unclean rooms Found dead spider in wardrobe. - poor maintenance 1 room had shower with low pressure and no hot water. The pool shower doesn't work. The beach umbrella had sharp and rusty edges (dangerous!) - No internet (even though advertised as available on website) - be prepared for power cuts between 11 and 3pm. - No food orders in the afternoon on some days as "chef needs to prepare for dinner"? - snorkeling trip is only available if minimum numbers are met, else forfeited if bundled. - room cleaning service is only upon request at reception BAD - while walking to the adjacent beach, we saw a stockpile of appliances thrown at the back (refer to photos) instead of being properly disposed. - (The island, not the resort) All of us on the trip felt the result of sand-flies bites after returning home. For the price point, this is the cheapest place on the island but if we return to this beautiful island we will definitely pay more with the other resorts.

  Sari Pacifica Lang Tengah (SPLT)

  We booked with 2 Villas facing pool and spent 3D2N from 23-25 August with full onboard package, including return boat transfer from Merang jetty, and 1x snorkeling trip around the island at Batu Putih and Batu Kucing snorkeling spot. The reservation was done online and made easy once I contacted Ms Tina from resort front desk. She is attentive and provided quick response so we can plan the trip upfront. The villa chalet is spacious with 2 Queens beds, and large bathroom with jacuzzi. The rooms are clean and basic amenities are provided, but no TV or wifi in the room since you will be spending most of your time outdoors. However, there is telecom tower near the resort so you can still use your own mobile data. The AC was okay but not that cold and I have to call the workers to clean the AC on my second day. Water pressure for shower can be improved in future. Food served was nice, but expect not lot of spreads with mix of local and western choice. I'd like one of the dinner dishers of fresh squids come with eggs. If you not taking Fullboard package, the meal charges will be RM50 per head. The highlight of this resort is the beautiful sea view, white sandy beach, and clear seawater infront of the beach. The scenery was awesome especially during the sunset. And there isn't many people around, maybe due to Covid19, so you'll have the beach for your group. We snorkled in 2 spots around Lang Tengah Island, and the next day we took a boat to Redang island to snorkle. I would rate the snorkeling in Redang is much better experience than in Lang Tengah. Overall, it was good experience and I would rate it between 3.5 to 4 stars. There is still room for improvement especially to include more activities or facility in the resort, upgrading the room and bathroom, or maybe appoint resort manager to enhance the hospitality level .

  Dive Shop and Restaurant

  We went primarily to dive, we were a group of 7. There was no equipment to rent so two of our party couldn't dive. We agreed with the dive shop to dive two days but on the second day the one dive master was apparently ill so we couldn't dive. There was zero interest about our predicament from the staff and no attempt to acquire another dive master even though they knew there was a problem after the first day. The dive boat was totally unfit for purpose and much too small with no facilities for diving, the tanks covered the whole floor and we had to kit up one y one as there was no room, the batmen did nothing, not even collected our fins when we finished our dives. On the last dive the boat left us whilst we were diving as a storm came in and they were worried about capsizing, so we had a longish swim back to shore and a stumble on to the beach with all our diving equipment. The food was a buffet every night in the full board package and was comfortably the worst food I have sampled in Malaysia. The meat consisted mainly of grisle and bone and even at the start f the buffet was already cold. There was minimal choice and the dessert was the same every night - watermelon and either small slices of banana cake or fruit cake. In my room I received electric shocks from the two lamps in the bathroom, the rainshower could not be used unless a button was held continuously in, the hand shower adjustment was broken so it was not possible to raise the height from waist level. To be fair we did manage to negotiate half price for the last dive but it could have resulted in a serious accident. The place caters mainly for local families (with lots of excited young children) and snorkelling.

  Better than Expected....

  There were quite a few bad/so so review on this resort, but my experience on this resort was quite a good one.. Good Points - easy booking procedure via email/whatsapp to KL booking office - on time speedboat ( sharp departure at 10am) - very nice location - white sandy beach, crystal clear beach - nice beach for snorkeling, manage to see turtle, puffer fish, trigger fish and lots of colourful fishes..etc - room well kept & clean - comfortable bed, just bit too high - big bathroom , surprise to have jacuzzi in garden villa too - friendly staffs - very clean swimming pool - surrounding also well maintain, lots of greenery - jungle trekking trip - easy trek & nice view for sun rise at batu kuching There is only 1 bad point - which is the food. The food actually taste alright, is only the variety and spread to be improve. There is no any prawn/squitd dishes during our stay. We only have 1 type of meat, 1 type of fish (kembong/patin), 1 vege..etc for lunch, and additional 1 spaghetti during dinner. Breakfast is slightly better than lunch & dinner. Overall, we enjoyed our trip this time, and hopefully can revisit this lovely island again in future.
