  Average hotel for an average price

  I decided to go to Larnaca last minute so when booking most of the places were sold out. I was looking for a lower budget place and this seemed as a suitable one. The place is quite old and even though it was clean it gave a bit of a dirty feeling just because everything was old and needs redecorating. The staff was friendly, however was not of too much help when I asked them about busses. The swimming pool is very small, so I prefer walking to the beach (1,5 km). The bus 425 stops right in front of the hotel, it can take you to airport or beaches. The AC and wifi are free and they were working well. You have towels in the room, a small shampoo and kitchen utensils. The beds were not very comfortable and you can hear the car noise from main road even if you close the balcony door. Overall, its a cheap place and maybe okay for 1-2 nights, but I would not recommend staying longer if you wanna relax and enjoy your time.

  Awful experience

  We arrived late at night and the night auditor was claimed that he is the boss and that we can't enter the room if we won't pay the money in advance around 300. Once we got inside around 1 am in the night we wanted to use the toilet and sleep . But the first was impossible, since the flush didn't work. We talk with the maid larisa in the morning, who was the only person who helped us. Then after the flush was fixed the water was so high inside the toilet, which is really dangerous for hygiene. ALso inside the bath, during nighttime, cockroaches were coming out for a walk. Location was weird I think many illegal activities were taking place behind the hotel, but view from our room was pretty nice. It is 15-20 min walking from city center. I was planning to stay 7 days there but after this strange things I decide to leave earlier. I let them know one day before I go. In the morning I called the reception for a taxi and they asked me to pay the money when I go there. So I went to reception and I asked them to make another price, due to lack of basic facilities, for the first night. Then I gave money to them and they kept 5 more euros because I hosted my daughter for the night. The receptionist were shouting on me, what I found really unprofessional even if you are you just try to be patient. I wouldn't recommend this hotel it has such a bad energy and weird stuff, 3 days of my holidays were ruined.

  Don't do it

  This place had such great reviews, and I am not sure why. To be fair, I am not sure what similarly priced hotels in the area are like, but I had just come from Tel Aviv, where I paid $10/night more for a place that was a dream, and I would think Tel Aviv would be a far more expensive city than Larnaca--overall, things are pretty inexpensive here. My room in Sunflower was spacious, and they gave me a room with a view of the water as I requested. However, this was an industrial view, and the side of the hotel overlooking the sea also faces a VERY noisy boulevard. One has to walk about 10, 12 minutes to the beaches through this noisy industrial sort of area. So if you want to see how "real people" live, then this is a good choice, but it was not a relaxing, idyllic vacation spot as one would have closer to the airport. Every morning I had ants in the kitchen, even though I wiped everything meticulously. The toilet handles was loose --flushing was an engineering project. The front desk people didn't have much information on anything, and having that sort of concierge information is their JOB, right? Every time I had a question the internet could not answer, I had to walk almost a mile to the tourist info office in town. The concierges didn't even make much effort to keep informational brochures that were up-to-date in the lobby. The place just broadcast, "We don't care." Of the 3 concierges, one was sunshine even if she didn't know much, one was cranky, and one seemed weighed down with heavy sadness. Mixed reviews on the cleaning staff, as it was different people cleaning on different days. Some were meticulous, some just didn't seem to care if I had no shampoo left... The pool is clean and lovely, open 8am til about 7:30 pm.

  Enjoy the place stay their every year

  Stay their for a month every year rooms cleaned every day place is nice and clean every body is so friendly so why go any were ekes I will be back their in 2021 only 10 minutes walk to the beach see you next year

  Best place I have ever stayed

  Love sunflower hotel its home from home everybody is nice and friendly rooms cleaned every day good WiFi your right in the middle of it only 10 minutes walk to sea front staff are so nice and polite they go out of their way to help you out rumour has it christagies only smiles if their is a full moon nice swimming pool so don't be shy give the sunflower hotel a try
