  A Quiet Retreat with Great Hospitality

  We (two adult couples) were looking for a place to relax after our overnight flight from the US, before deriving northeast into the Dolomites. La Dolce Vita appealed to us because it was near Bergamo (worth a day trip, and accessible from Selvino by tram and train, although we drove). We were the only guests, as the hotel was closed but the owners opened it for us. The restaurant was also closed but the owners cooked a great afternoon meal, and also served us appetizers with wine later that evening. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and centrally located in Selvino. Selvino is postcard pretty and reminded us of small ski resort towns in the US or Switzerland, although we were there between ski and summer seasons. It's far enough off the beaten path to not be mobbed by tourists (like us) but reasonably accessible by car if you don't mind mountain driving. We will try to stay longer on our next visit.

  Nice Hotel, great staff, clean with a lovely location..

  The hotel is located in a small town that embraces you with special corners. It was a place where we relax due to the Hotel is very nice, clean and very receptive. The ideal place for seeking peace. We recommend to all who are looking for a nice place away from the noise of large cities.

  Stile,Kindness and excellant kitchen

  We ,my wife and I, spent three nights in the Dolce Vita Hotel and enjoyed the stile of the house the excellent kitchen, and the kindness of the owner. Every thing was perfect: the interior of the room, the service , the dishes, variations of regional food of Bergamo.

  A great place to stay

  I have just got back from the 5 day international Tai Chi symposium that was held in the beautiful surroundings of Selvino. It was a fantastic trip where we experienced and practiced with the top six Masters in the world. I travelled with two other colleagues and we were lucky enough to stay at this hotel for six nights (full board). We were made to feel totally at home and nothing seemed to be a problem for the staff. The hotel is run by Tamara (front of house) and Diego the Chef. The food was first class, with a variety of typical Italian dishes and for me, the steak in mustard sauce was the highlight. Our schedule was quite tight and the hotel were very accommodating in changing meal times at short notice. Tamara always had a smile on her face and made meal times quite entertaining. Once she found out I was attempting to learn Italian, she really helped with pronunciation and gave me plenty of tips; and it wasnt just a one off lesson it happened at every course! It was great value for money and as I said earlier a great place to stay. Thanks again for looking after us, best wishes, Nigel

  BEST OWNER, BEST FOOD, BEST LOCATION!!!

  We enjoyed a wonderful week here and especially appreciate the kindness and generosity of our host, Tamara. The food was amazing. The town of Selvino is spectacular. The room was great. It's easy to get here by tram and bus from Bergamo. Have I mentioned our wonderful host Tamara? She made my grandson feel right at home and we feel we've made a friend for life.
