  Songwriters Festival

  I stayed 2 nights in The Coldwater Inn for the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival. The CI is wonderfully located right off the highway and close to everything in the Shoals area. The rooms are nice. The foyer is grand and the lobby is inviting. We will definitely return!!

  Elegant Hotel for Reasonable cost

  Feel important in these special surroundings. Helpful staff ensures your needs, including happy hour & free breakfast. Their beds & linens promise you a great night rest. We stay here on every visit to the Shoals!

  Beautiful Lobby

  Beautiful exterior and elegant lobby is first thigs you notice. Rooms were a little outdated with carpet but clean and comfortable bed. Nice enouch breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were there with family funeral in the area and had 6 rooms that were all very comfortable and clean.

  Wet carpet in closet and outside bathroom

  The first thing I noticed was that the desk staff were not wearing masks to prevent spread of COVID19. I had previously stayed at this property and found it serviceable for work travel and convenient to downtown Tuscumbia. But this time, when I checked in to a supposedly clean room, there was a distinctly unpleasant smell in the closet when I opened it. Soon we determined the carpet in the closet was wet -- and I reported this to the desk. The woman on the desk came to the room, saw the issue and said she would have someone attend to it while we were out. Back about 4 hours later, we discovered that the wetness on the carpet had spread from the closet into the area in front of the bathroom entrance, and that nothing had been done. When I asked the desk, a different person said that the wetness wasn't coming from the shower as we had thought, and that the maintenance person had not done anything at that time. This was not only unpleasant but in the time of COVID19 it seems especially lax. Very sad and not an encouragement to return . We should not have been given a room in that condition.

  OH MY!!! This was a very nice surprise.

  This front of the building will draw you in with the columns. Walk into the lobby and there are huge wooden staircases on each end with a grand piano and lots of old style chairs to invite you to stay awhile. All of the staff were wonderful and the room is above the standard motel. There is also a pool out back that we enjoyed. You've got to visit here if you're in the area.
