  Basic accommodation (price main attraction)

  Was travelling solo on business and looking for a value for money room for the night. The en suite room in the attic was small and basic. The redecoration of the room had obviously been a bit slap dash and there was need for a bit of TLC. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Opted for room only and did not eat here as was dining with colleagues elsewhere.

  passing by so stopped for lunch nice food and pleasant staff will use again when next in the area. the bar was busy but the atmosphere was still nice plenty of parking off road and nearby footie on the tv but again not noisey.read paper whilst waiting for food all in all good chill factor

  Description is totally misleading

  This hotel is being marketed as a beach front hotel. Its not. It is approx 3 miles from the beach. It is also referred to as part of the main town. Its not. Its in the village of Hillside. Have to say I am quite shocked by this blatant attempt to hoodwink travellers.

  Just...dinnae

  Beautiful place, with good decoration in the rooms as well as the pub and dining room areas respectively. Shame the staff and food are an absolute shambles. Went once, was enough for a lifetime. Best thing that could happen to this beautiful place is that it is bought over by new owners. If you want to enjoy this place, don't go on a Saturday, or at all. My visit was months ago so I'd like to think maybe now the staff are a bit less carefree about their jobs.

  Nice hotel

  A very welcoming hotel, staff were so nice and offered great service, cosy room, with all the basics and I ate at the restaurant or bar every evening and thought the food was lovely and very fast service and reasonably priced! Would stay again
