  Eco friendly resort

  Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was large with a great turn down service - hot water bottle in your bed if it's chilly! The grounds are interesting to walk round. Tried (and failed) at the ox ploughing. The restaurant was good with plenty of choices. Having been in Myanmar for a while and wanting a different type of food for 1 meal we had pizzas. The vegetarian one was bursting with toppings. It is in an isolated location though so not suitable if you want to keep nipping to shops/bars or restaurants.

  A great place for retreat

  Last December 2019, I was staying in this hotel with my team for three days retreat! we love it. we have warm hospitality of the staff. Food was good except Mutton curry. It was smelly. very well decorated rooms. amazing view. This hotel could have bigger meeting room. I will love to go back to this hotel

  Fantastic Mountain Views

  Very clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful, frequently going out of their way to assure a pleasant stay. Fantastic views of surrounding mountains. Ideal for those seeking relaxation and fresh air.

  The Hotel Kalaw Hill Lodge Visit

  - very good service! - friendly and caring staff! - amazing location! - fresh air! - Theres an organic farm inside the hotel. - a nice spa! - Pay a visit to the pagoda there. - You can also see Inle lake which is 2 hrs far from the hotel.

  Nature abounds in this fantastic resort - I will definitely be coming back

  Rooms: we stayed on the ground floor as the upstairs rooms (which probably have better views) didn't have double beds. Rooms were clean, well appointed, simple but stylish with lots of nice custom woodwork. We had some trouble with the door as it's kind of sticky - to be expected when everything is custom made of wood. Room was very spacious. Good shower with strong pressure and hot water. Nice little seating area in front of each room to socialize. Facilities: Fantastic views, great organic gardens, you can go and pick your own fruits and vegetables from the garden if that's your things. Plenty of space to walk around. Adjacent to some nice hiking trails to go up into the hills. You can feed animals at a nearby farm. Lots of space to run around. Location: a 15 minute ride from town - this lodge is not in the center of Kalaw but well worth the short trip for those who appreciate the serenity of nature. Not really 'walkable' to town so consider either renting a car, bicycle, or motorbike if you want see more of Kalaw. F&B: Solid restaurant - Asian dishes were excellent but some of the western dishes could have used improvement. Good bar and fun happy hour every evening. Breakfast good enough thought not amazing. Staff and Management: Very friendly, strong service, really helpful. Were able to arrange bookings quickly at fair prices. Bookings manager very friendly and helpful. Overall the lodge's team really pulls the experience together. Overall: highly recommend.
