  Un buen hotel venido a menos

  Nos alojamos en el Media (que en un tiempo pasado fue un Sheraton) para la Expo Trade 2015. Lo bueno: el personal muy amable y atento. Está muy cerca del centro de convenciones y tiene buena conectividad. Las habitaciones están ok y cuentan con todo lo necesario, además muy limpio. Lo malo: El hotel no está en las mejores condiciones. Si bien tiene todo el potencial de ser un 5 estrellas, su mantención ha sido descuidada. Los ascensores están viejos y tienen sonidos raros. De hecho, nos quedamos encerrados en una ocasión dentro de él. El hotel en general tiene olor a humedad.

  Nice hotel and strategic location

  It was nice to stay a night in this hotel. The room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is good taste. The swimming pool not so large but have a good ambience. The location near with mangga dua square. Just less than 10 minutes by car. It also near with busway station so that easy to be reached by public transportation

  Bad Experience, Old Rules, Not Recommended!

  Friendly staff doesn't mean helpful staff. I've booked the reservation through Online Travel Agent and gave some notes that I'll arrive earlier around 9. I arrive at 9.20 AM, then thw reservation (Maya) said that all room were full, so she can't gave me early check in and will allow us to check in at 11 AM. So funny when she offered me to pay some extra charge (IDR 350K) for early check in. She said the room isn't ready, but will be ready if I pay(?).. Then I chose to wait, then she didn't offer me anything, at least inform me the proper waiting area, cafe, or lounge. She just let me wait at the lobby just like animal without any further information. At 10.30 I asked once again about the check in. Then one of their team said : "we can't give you early check in. There will be additional charge for it" Just confused, because another hotel usually have more flexible time for check in, why this Hotel is so rigid? After saw my face and expressions, the reception said : "but our rooms are full last night. So if you want early check in even if you pay, I cannot give you at the moment. " I found 2 inconsistent statement between the staff, if they didn't want to give early check in, at least don't lie to me! Then I asked what is his name, then he answered with a very arrogant attitude : "Yohanes, and I'm Front Office Manager." Very disappointed, did I ask about your title? Is your title important for me? Or you just want to show your power? Totally disappointed, I won't stay in this Hotel anymore. And I will give a big note to my company to ban this hotel for business trip.

  No signal in rooms!

  About this hotel the only positive thing I can say is people are soo kind. But even tho they work in 5 start hotel they dont know english very well. More important than that issue, there is no signal in rooms! I cant connect wifi even tho in some places i can (like lobby) but i lose connection again in every mint. Okay lets pass wifi I bought simcart i have fast internet out of hotel. But when im in my room i cant use my internet as well! There is no signal in 5 starts hotel also there is no one can understand english very well to help me. They came around 1 hour ago. Said that they will solve but all same till now.

  Aged but pleasant

  Aged interiors but pleasant. Few mins walk to Indomaret/Alphamart. 2 layers of lobby, could be a hassle but good for security. Did not have b'fast at the hotel so no comment on that. Appliances in room worked but some plugs had bad wiring and lighting in toilet too dim. Perhaps the hotel should keep its nostalgic character and just do slight refurbishment such as upgrade of lighting, electrical fixtures and change carpets.
