  Un hermoso lugar en medio de la nada

  Cumplio el objetivo de descanso. Muy tranquilo, buenas habitaciones y excelentes instalaciones. si tienen que estar por la zona es altamente recomendable. quizas un poco "acartonado" pero en general todo correcto

  Exceptional Property in Every Aspext

  Short one night stay around holidays. Property is a true 5 star. Decor and architecture is beautiful and zen. Path around lake nice touch. Breakfast was top notch - fresh juices and amazing crab Benedict.

  Wonderful Anniversay Stay

  Two-night stay. We started with a spa treatment. Excellent massage, then enjoyed the whirlpool and sauna. There was champagne and chocolate waiting for us in the room with the compliment of the manager for our anniversary. The restaurant was superb with excellent service and menu. The bar was being remodeled when we stayed, but they still had service and it was in quiet relaxing atmosphere. Both Heron's - the restaurant, and the Bar have outdoor sitting. The grounds are beautiful and serene. Strolling around the lake provides moments of quietness and contact with nature, and walking through the hotel halls one can appreciate some beautiful art.

  An Unbelievable experience

  My wife and i did a weekend get away with the full spa treatment . it was the best down time we have had in years , the rooms were perfect , the service was perfect and the spa treatment was so relaxing that we wish we didn't have to leave

  Great Property, Terrible Suites!

  My Wife and I stayed our last night of a 7 day Road Trip/Real Estate Search at The Umstead Hotel and Spa. The Umstead is a Beautiful Property and up until we retired for the evening it was a pleasure. We had checked in Online and reserved a King Suite which was gorgeous. At 9:00pm we were lying in bed watching a movie when I thought I heard what sounded like Air Traffic from an Airport. Raleigh/Durham is close by. The Roaring of a plane which vibrated the room a little. Then I heard it again and again --- realizing it was the Elevator, two of them, running up and down on the same wall as the living room. I called the front desk to complain but was told All Suites are located on the Elevator wall. The manager offered to move us to a Standard Room or give us a 25% discount which I denied. All those Great Reviews probably were not staying in The Suites---
