  Nice resort, poor service, bad attitude

  The resort overall is nice. The rooms are well kept, very clean, serviced daily and with nice views of the golf course and beach. Service at the beach is average to poor because bookings are made on paper with a pen, and never kept - several times we booked a table for lunch of dinner and they mentioned that we dont have a booking when we got there. Food is good - the big fresh fish is nice, shopska salad is very good and overall all the food on the menu is well cooked and tasteful. Same issue with the bookings at the Geti restaurant. We booked a table with reception and when we got there, the manager said he doesnt have it on his paper. Moreover, food at Geti is average to poor - not tasty, they are not willing to adapt it at all. Moreover, the attitude of the waiters is rude and aggressive - we waited for 30 mins for someone to pick the order and when we asked them for the 5th time, the waiter threw the menus on the desk and asked for someone else to come serve us. Another issue is that the resort allows outside bookings and you can easily end up as a client of the resort with no actual place to have dinner, which is really inconvenient.

  It is a lose-win situation to spend your vacation in Thracian Cliffs

  We normally spend our family summer vactions in Turkey and in Greece in the last years ( we have a young child). This year we have decided, based on recommendations from friends who have been in Thracian Cliffs in the last 2-3 years, to go to Bulgaria to Thracian Cliffs, 5 stars spa&golf resort. We discovered an understaffed, not properly maintained property, with overbooked beaches and restaurants. Argata Beach is already overbooked before you reach the resort; at the hotel Reception you are told that you need to try to speak with the Beach manager for place. It is clear that tips to get a place on Argata Beach are not just welcome, they are institutionalised, even if you are told from the beginning that you are not promissed to successfully get a place on the Beach afterall ( for which you are charged Per day, Even if you are a guest of the hotel). The Beach managers are very important persons that your are heavily dependent on them and consequently they treat you like a captive client. Now, to get to the Beach is Even a worse experience, as the beaches are far Away; for Bendida you need to Take your car or a small resort train ( which circulates every 15 min), park your car on the Hill and then wait for 5-10-15 min for the buggy car to Take you to the Beach. The best part is when around 5-6 pm everybody from the Beach is Waiting for the buggy to come and Take you to the parking/ to the train for the hotel. As regards maintenance, cleaning it is very weak, Both the room and the property, in general. There is also bad smell from the sewage everywhere you Walk around the property. For the whole staying We were only provided with shampoo, when we asked for shower gel, we were told they dont have. Protection measures taken by Thracian staff against COVID are extra light. Breakfast is ok, but you are literally Hunted by wasps. On a positive note, the landscape is beautiful and the beaches are Pleasant ( after all the suffering to get a place there). Geti restaurant is also a nice experience, however also very difficult to get a place.

  Perfect wedding venue

  It's the most beautiful wedding venue! We had our perfect wedding party at the Bendida Beach and the ceremony on the terrace with the most amazing sea view. Everything was better than we've ever imagined - staff, food, atmosphere were exquisite. Supervisors and managers were very nice, professional and always there for us whenever we needed anything. The room we were staying in was beautiful, clean and had very romantic view. We highly recommended this location not only for holidays, dinner, but as well or mostly for the wedding ceremony!

  You could be anywhere

  We stay here for a long weekend mid of September in a one bedroom ranting flat. Very looked after private resort with an outstanding golf course, all amenities right be the edge of a dramatic cliff. Quite, secure, very clean; additional golf cars would take you down to a private beach that would grade higly on anybodys summer wishlist. Highly recommend the place!
