  60's and 70's night

  Celebration with family and friends, stayed 7th and 8th February. Very friendly hard working staff. Excellent chef with good choice of food. Well cooked and great breakfast. Tribute act ok, 2 x 45min sets then disco. Room a little tired but very clean, shower not very powerful, good WiFi. Would definitely return. Thanks to all staff and chef especially for a memorable weekend. Would recommend for a family/friends get together.

  Wedding weekend

  We stayed here with six friends the night before we went to a wedding at Cornhill Castle. We would definitely recommend this hotel, very spacious rooms, plenty of hot water and very clean. Brian the manager was very pleasant and looked after us well, breakfast was very good and very hot with plenty of choice. Thanks again Brian and staff for looking after us so well.

  Celebration

  Thirteen of us stayed here on the 7th and 8th February to celebrate friends up and coming marriage. This is a lovely old hotel, set in nice grounds. The room we stayed in was large, a little tired, but clean. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower was pretty poor. The food on both nights was fantastic and so were the breakfasts. The tribute act on the Saturday were ok. I think the disco afterwards went down better. Brian the Manager worked really hard, looking after us all very well. Thank you.

  A bit dated but Excellent

  Tinto Hotel is ideal for visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow as it is situated about half way between both although a bit isolated. The hotel is a bit dated although this adds to its charm. Our room was clean and tidy although a little cold and we could not alter the radiator. The food was excellent all fresh and what looked like home cooked. The breakfast was to order from a good range of items (at last a hotel that does not have a buffet breakfast. Well done the Tinto) The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, very attentive at all times. If I was in the area again I would defiantly recommend this Hotel.

  Great night

  We went here for a tribute night and it was fantastic. The room was huge and very clean and comfortable the staff where very friendly and the food was beautiful. Prices where reasonable we would return again.
