  Just about ok

  When we arrived there was no one at reception - there was a sign telling us to ring a mobile number. We obviously had to ask for an extra hand towel and more coffee and tea, having lots of experience of Travelodges. The room was absolutely freezing and didn't seem to warm up all night, even after turning the (tiny) radiator up full. There were no phone or data signals in the room - although by some strange coincidence there was in reception. The bed was very uncomfortable and we both woke up with painful backs. The shower was powerful and hot, although the bath it was in was mightily slippy.

  What great service!!

  Hotel was clean and quiet location so had a great nights sleep. Drove from here to Alton Towers for 2 days and it's a nice drive just watch out for school traffic on route. It's close to lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance, which was a nice surprise. When I told them it was my partners birthday they laid on balloons, banners, champagne and chocolates and a card - so thoughtful and so nice! Really good value for money - so impressed. Staff polite and site was COVID safe. I'm so impressed with them and how nice it was for them to have arranged a birthday surprise!

  Nice

  We stayed here on our way between two theme parks and it was a good hotel. Needed to request more towels as only one set was provided for a room for two. The pub next door does amazing food and was very well priced.

  Lovely place!

  We've stayed here numerous times over the years. It's very comfortable and clean. The location is great. It's nice and quiet. The shower has great pressure, and the bath (request a ground floor room) is great for a good soak. The staff members have been here for years and it's lovely seeing friendly faces whenever we stay. The staff (Janet, Dawn and Angela) can't do enough for us!

  Good value

  We booked here as the Toby Carvery is next door! The receptionist was helpful and friendly changing our room because Id booked a double instead of a twin, without a problem. We were advised that during our stay housekeeping wouldnt clean the room but additional linen was available from reception. The room was clean and although a usb point was there a plug was provided with a usb connection. Tea, coffee and a kettle were provided and for once the kettle fitted easily under the sink tap. No bath but a large walk in shower which I liked better. I enjoyed my stay and if in the area would definitely stay again
