  Excelente brunch

  Fuimos a probar el brunch un domingo por la mañana y es excelente en cuanto a variedad y calidad: dulce, salado, fruta fresca, incluso carne a la plancha con patatas, ensaladas, zumos, tés, cafés...Espectacular. Ahora sí, lo pagas, ¿eh? pero vale la pena (no para ir con frecuencia, claro). Nosotros repetiríamos.

  Beautiful hotel

  We booked an executive suite. Decorated in very warm colours with a high ceiling, big windows and a fantastic view over the motorways. Only problem, as in most Van Der Valk hotels is that the room did'nt smell fresh. We mention this in every review but apparantly the hotel chain does nothing to change it. Minor details : the light above the wash bassin is not strong enough, no make-up mirror, no very small towels. The restuarant looks amazing and the food is extremely good. Also the breakfast was fantastic.

  VAN DER VALK standard for the future

  I know VAN DER VALK "chain" as I am of Durch nationality and have visited a few. Without critisizing, I do not necessarily like their style....But yet "their style" reached out to.people who want basic quality and some feeling of "feeling-at-home"; the result is a "mix" of some sort, but you will never (seldom)be dissatisfied. I was on a "quick" trip to luxembourg/belgium and hey I found that there is a new VAN DER VALK.... Well well a little surprise ! Contemporary chique; simple but so cosy....the ligthning everywhere was "studied"; the illumination of the restaurant was "inviting"; truly. The meal I had was "simple, but top....I explain... I live now in Portugal where fish and crustaces are part of my life. But I love to eat a good, small, piece of meat, whereas my lovely epouse is VEGAN.....So when I can ...I love a good peace of meat....THAT is not given to everyone (except our Argentinian and Chilian friends).....But TRY the filet de Boeuf in VAN DER VALK in ARLON.....I really hope that you will have the same experience that I had....small, saignant, succulant, tasty well structured, no fat or any nerves.... Well it is do difficult to recommend hotels and restaurants because of many reasons. But I have confidence that THIS VAN DER VALK will wish to pursue this NEW standzrd! Proficiat!!

  What a horrible experience

  This hotel is very nice inside but I had one of the worst experiences in a hotel there. The heating system did not work and I urgently needed to sit in my room and work on my laptop for a couple of hours. It is pretty clear that one does not want it to be cold in the room for this and noone wants to risk getting ill because of lack of heating in a hotel in corona times. Noone managed to fix the heating, it did not work in any of the rooms and I could not work to prepare for my meetings the next day. I was cold for hours. Then, they brought me a portable heater after hours, which was not what you expect as a heating in a four star hotel. After all of this trouble, they fully charged me for a dinner brought to my room (16 euro for pasta and 15 euro for bringing it to the room). No compensation in any way for a ruined night. I have never seen such a bad service in any hotel in my life. Also, the rooms were not cleaned well (toothpaste splashes all over the walls of the bathroom). A pity because the hotel as such is beautiful and new.
