    One night business trip

Having only one night in Beira I was recommended this hotel by my travel agent. It is a true little gem among some tough times. The staff really go above and beyond. Fred the doormen stood in line at Vodafone to get me a sim card for almost an hour. The front desk staff are very inviting and make you feel at home. The rooms are really good and although the air-con is noisy its the only thing to really complain about. There is a night club across the road but they stop operating quite early. The Steak egg and Chips is out of this world and highly recommended. I don't think that i will be returning to Beira any time soon but if you are going then this is the place to stay. Don't let the surrounding buildings scare you away, the streets are safe to walk in and the people are very friendly.

Such a disappointment & Desolate Area

There is nothing fantastic about this hotel. From the time I was driving down the street I thought o boy I'm in for a pleasant surprise. Location is terrible and is very desolate. The rooms are old and out dated and missing a major clean, doesn't look like this has happened in a very long time. Also requires a coat of paint, white walls are looking faided and yellow. From hair balls laying on the floor to a noisy and non working Aircon. In this heat and humidity it's an absolute must to have an Aircon going at all times. No working safe within the room, seems as if it's been stolen. For the price of a room there are definitely better options to choose from in and around the town of Beira. My personal opinion is not to support this organisation and look elsewhere. I blame the management for not paying attention and investing a little extra to get client satisfaction.

    Beira options

The best part of this booking is having the option to be picked from the airport. The restaurant closes quite early so you have to eat out if you are late. The TV had more channels than I thought, the AC worked and I could get a warm shower. The linen and towels quite old but reasonably clean. A safe and mini fridge in the room was a big plus for the hotel.

    it was quite fine

I booked for one night because I wanted to be close to the airport. I read the reviews that said the place was not clean and bathroom and rooms were small. ok, the room was small, but not as small as described. I wasnt running laps around the bed so it was fine. the bathroom was nice sized with a deep soaked tub. it was SUPER CLEAN. the neighborhood looks a bit sketch but it was under construction and it's mostly hotels and apartment buildings, not scary at all. there were good restaurants within walking distance, 4-5 minutes, and a quick chappala ride brought me to the shopping district. I was a woman traveling alone and I never felt unsafe walking around. the room was quite comfy, it does have a/c and big windows if you want to open up instead. there is a masjid close by, and I heard the call to prayer in my sleep, but it didnt actually wake me. breakfast was good, but it's not eggs and bacon. more like a traditional Mozambique breakfast, very hearty. they do offer cereal and fruits and yogurt too. The staff is super friendly and speak enough English to be of assistance. There is WiFi, but like most of Mozambique its iffy, which made communicating with my fam via WhatsApp difficult. I'd gladly go back and stay again, tho. it was altogether quite pleasant.

Clean, basic, safe with friendly staff

The biggest drawback of this hotel is its location. It is in a dingy corner of town. Apart from that it is safe, clean and comfortable and the rooms are relatively affordable - perhaps priced slightly wishful. WiFi is fairly decent. Breakfast is not great - fairly basic with mostly bread based options and processed meat. No eggs and limited fruit and cereals.
