  Charming and welcoming family hotel

  We stayed at Waldrand with our children 10 and 13 for a ski week-end in January. The hotel charming. We were welcomed personally by the owner, who is very nice and helpful. We stayed in a family room, newly renovated and very convenient for a family as it features a double bed and a bunk bed with a door separating the two rooms. The hotel is very kids friendly, with a special play corner for smaller children. It is conveniently located walking distance from the town center and some of the ski lifts. The owner was very helpful and we could organize our ski passes directly at the reception. The buffet breakfast was very nice and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Overall very good value. I would definitely recommend it for families.

  Loved our stay at the Hotel Waldrand!

  Stayed at the Hotel Waldrand during our Alpine Pass trek. It was a welcome retreat. We were greeted warmly and had a terrific stay. Our double room, facing the mountains, has a very comfy/cozy bed. All rooms have shared bath and shower - they are conveniently located, so not a hassle. The shower room is recently renovated, has radiant heat flooring, and rain shower heads - very nice. We stayed on with half board - the rate included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was served with candlelight - and they accommodated our vegetarian needs with a delicious multi-course meal. Breakfast had many choices of home made breads, preserves, local cheeses etc. A wonderful touch - honey served straight from the beehive board/honeycomb.Hotel Waldrand is a historic hotel with a great blend of homespun warmth and modern sensibility. Definitely recommend!

  Expensive...not worth the price just to have excellent view from balcony !

  Felt the expensive price was for the views...nothing else. The food expensive and the breakfast did not even include eggs. Was really rushed through ordering for dinner. The hotel seems old, and not as "luxurious" as their website appeared to be. Lovely walking areas around hotel. Lovely views from balcony of room. DEFINITELY a family-oriented place, not for a couple of seniors who prefer not to eat with a lot of children.

  Excelente

  Pasamos dos noches en este hotel para eskiar. Es un sitio con ambiente familiar y cálido y estilo típico suizo. El personal estaba súper atento y amable. Se podría comer y cenar en el restaurante que conecta con el hotel, pero no lo hicimos. El hotel está bien situado (a 5 minutos andando desde el teleférico y a 10 minutos desde el centro del pueblo). La habitación estaba limpia y cuenta con radiador (lo cual se agradece para secar los botes de esquí). El desayuno estaba incluido, la variedad amplia y sin embargo ponen productos locales y sabrosos. Alta recomendación!

  Very cosy property with stylish rooms

  The Waldrand is an authentic chalet with the kind of warm ambient. Our room was on the top floor and a nice suite size. The styling was modern with a nice Swiss mountain chalet touch. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Everything very fresh from fruit to bread, cheese, meat etc. Absolutely worth mentioning are the Bürli a kind of crusty dark bread roll which I love and I never had in any other hotel. A bit weak is the Wifi and the Facebook login somehow not working for me. All staff had been super friendly, as was as well exceptional all over Lenk. Overall an amazing stay and a property I can strongly recommend.
