  Best in Town

  Without a doubt, this has to be the best hotel in town. It's getting pricey and is currently operating at about half capacity, if that, due to Covid. We were just there so the pool and the other amenities aren't open but its location is right at the end of Main Street and it is always more than comfortable.

  The customer service at the Watermark have BEYOND EXCEEDED all my expectations!

  My partner and I were set to get married here in 2020. Due to covid restrictions we moved our wedding out to 2021. Raj Bains (an incredible human being) and the rest of the team at Watermark have been beyond accommodating and absolutely lovely beyond words throughout this whole experience. When we were looking at which hotel venue to choose, they were super helpful and accomodating and made choosing the Watermark over other locations (ex. Spirit Ridge - super difficult and not accommodating). When we had to move our wedding dates, they kindly supported all of our guests with easily moving dates to the following year. When we came up to visit, they made our experience extra special. I wish every hotel and customer service based industry had someone like Raj Bains on their team :) We will always choose the Watermark for years to come.

  Great location bad maintenance

  RIght down town and along major walkway within walking distance to grocery store, hardware, drug store, and liquor store. . Had a nice takeout meal and then it closed for renovations Nice one bedroom layout but a "Gourmet Kitchen" it is not. While housekeeping were right there with any issues, we couldn't get our washing machine fixed after 6 tries and had to go to a laundrymat. Kept hot tub at max 104 so you couldn't enjoy it even after we told them anything over 102 is dangerous for pregnant women. They said they had a warning sign up to that effect but you couldn't read it from the pool and it was also behind a chair.

  Lovely, clean suite with lake view. Marvelous meal, picked up from the lobby, from the restaurant.

  A very nice, spacious, clean suite with everything needed for my solo staycation. Able to walk everywhere....along the beach, through the charming little town. Just what I wanted. Wonderful deck but wasn't warm enough in February to take advantage of it.

  Disappointed

  Watermark is an ok hotel to stay for a short time but it is beginning to look a little run down. The furniture and décor is now about 10 years old and it is showing it's age in both wear and style. The mattresses appear to be the same vintage and were cheap hotel stock when they were bought. We had our really bad mattress exchanged for another of the same quality. The pool is not open through the winter months, the hot tub is open but is heated to the point of being dangerous for most people especially the seniors that spend the winter. The staff are mostly polite but cold. Some attitude was encountered by maintenance and housekeeping on several occasions which is surprising for a 4 star hotel. I say hotel because to call it a resort is a little bit of a stretch. It is a decent hotel sandwiched between a public beach on one side and on the other is highway #3. To get a room on the "City View" is to have the trucks roll by right outside your bedroom all day and night. One major problem with a person from management who was rude and aggressive made our decision easy to cut our stay short and will keep us from ever going back. Last year I gave the watermark a great review. Things have changed and unfortunately we experienced a different stay this year.
