  A piece of history and a comfortable stay at Wayside Inn

  I booked a room for the evening of January 24th, 2020 at Wayside Inn. My room (#14 Old Dominion) had a pleasant street view, excellent heating and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. A lady by the name of Tammy handled my reservation, provided keys / information and answered any questions I had. She is absolutely terrific at her job. Everything here was extremely convenient. The parking is on site, immediately by the building. The attached restaurant provided an excellent breakfast which was included with my stay. The food and service was excellent in here as well. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend for anyone who enjoys historical places and an evening out of town in a place that doesn't fall under the umbrella of "cookie cutter" hotel chains.

  Excellent and interesting alternative to chain hotels

  It had been years since we stayed at the Wayside so on a recent trip to the NYC area we decided to stop in. We liked it so well we stayed again on our way home! The price, including breakfast featuring bespoke blueberry pancakes, is less than you will pay for many of the chain hotels along this route the old Valley Pike. Among its many famous guests has been Jubal Early, Confederate general. The earliest part of this facility dates from 1749. Walking through it is a walk back in time. Our room was very comfortable and clean ... everything is spotless and functional. Tammy, at the front desk who also cooks breakfast, is very competent and welcoming.

  Fabulous

  We have stayed at Wayside Inn several times in the last year. The rooms are beautiful, the service is wonderful and the front desk is excellent. We could not ask for a more inviting or welcoming atmosphere. The meals are great, especially the complementary country breakfast! You may also dine at Wayside Inn even if you do not book a stay.

  Perfect place to stay

  We just loved our stay in this place!! We only spent one night, as we were just traveling through, but honestly wish we would have had more time. Such history & charm throughout!! The friendliness of the staff could not have been better, truly the best customer service weve ever received. We ate dinner there, which was also amazing, including peach cobbler for dessert. Cant wait to return!!

  Fabulous!!!

  Food and service at Wayside is impeccable! The lodgings are great; rooms are spacious and the furnishings are authentic. There is live music on the weekends. Prices are very reasonable. Fabulous complementary breakfasts. Wayside is an historic gem.
