  Pro's- rooms large - nice size bath rooms - very clean - nice people - location 5 mins to downtown. -- newer place Con's - mattress not thick enough - biggest con is the air condition & electrical is controlled by reception. You have no control over it. They raise the air when they think you not there. They also raise the temperature while you sleep hoping you want notice. This is all to save money. I stayed 5 night put didn't figure nor did they tell they controlled everything. Please charge extra and don't nickel & dime me the death.

  Great place!

  Spacious modern clean room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Generous breakfast. Very well located near the centre of town, all of which is within walking distance. Perfect hotel for vacation or business travel. Agnone is a picturesque central italian mountain town with a rich history evidenced by its medieval churches and palazzi, the oldest bell foundry in Europe, traditional trades such as coppersmithing. The food is exceptional including at the excellent restaurant located at the hotel (Tavola Osca). The menu includes excellent pizza, pasta, meat and seafood dishes as well as exceptional local cheeses (cacciocavallo, scamorza, etc.) and salumi. Lots of excellent bakeries, salumi and cheese shops, cafes, and a fine traditional candy store - Carosella.

  We stayed at the Hotel from August 24 to the 31. The hotel is in need of a good facelift, it still looks like a 1990s hotel. Our suite had a shower but in a big jet tub with a little screen to prevent water spilling out and no matter how careful you were water spilled on the floor. The water screen had paint peeling and rust showing It is a high rimmed tub and had to climb into it and no shelf for soap and shampoo. The air conditioning was our main problem it seemed to never work or cool the room. Then we found out that the front desk can turn it off without us knowing. You go to bed with a temperature of 23c and wake up in the middle of the night sweating, to find out the temp. has risen to 26c, strange.... when inquiring with the front desk they would check their computer screen and the standard answer was ''it works'' or '' is your balcony door closed '' when persisting, the answer would be '' let me check if the breaker did not go off'' and sure enough the answer would be ''the breaker went off it should be OK now'', and sure enough by the time we got back to the room the cold air had come back !! The problem could also be the magnetic key that must be inserted into a socket in the room to have power. On some occasions all of a sudden there would be no power in the room and had to remove and reinsert the key to restore power!! The hotel seems to be in a major cost cutting mode and for a 4 star hotel the front desk is closed in the middle of the night and even sometimes in the afternoon. The balconies have not been swept for a while and there are cigarette buts and pieces of broken glass on the floor. The breakfast served was very average, no cheese or ham and most of the time stale and hard croissant. For coffee, you had to find the person at the front desk and ask for it. Most of the staff is friendly and ready to help. One manager in the wake of our complaints even suggested that if we were not satisfied the were other options open to us !!! Would I recommend the hotel, probably not but in a small town like Agnone there is not much choice unless you go B&B.

  Restaurantrumors in the rooms.

  The Hotel is okay and clean. The staff was nice. But in the night (half past 12) its impossible to sleep cause u hear all the rumors from the restaurants chairs and tables moved around from the guests since 2 hours and this is more than loud. A Hotel where u cant sleep at night? Big failure. It doesnt interest a guest if there are much people in the restaurant. U pay per night and so it should be possible to sleep. Either u close the restaurant earlier, buy a carpet or furniture coasters.... There are enough ways.

  Excellent Staff! But bring ear plugs!

  Mixed review here regarding this hotel. I'm giving four stars because the staff is AMAZING!!! Super helpful and friendly. We had some rental car issues and the desk staff bent over backwards to make calls and help me. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Yes, they can use a facelift but all in all they are nice. My ONLY complaint is that the AC wasn't activated yet and we had to leave the windows open. That fact alone isn't bad but there was this barking dog across the road the just wouldn't shut his yap. Made it tough to get a good nights sleep, but this wasn't the hotel's fault. I would stay here again based solely on the fantastic desk staff.
