  My wife & I have recently stayed at Pacific Suites Canberra for a 1 night stay. We were most impressed with the suite we had, it was very spacious & included everything you need. We had a view from our suite looking at Black Mountain Tower & the new light rail is straight out from the front door of the building which is 2 stops from Canberra Civic Centre or it's under a 15 min walk to Canberra Civic Centre. The only thing was, on checking in we were told there is a $15 a night charge to park your car in their security carpark, we didn't mind paying it. We would certainly stay there again in the future

  Housekeeping forgot to clean the room!!

  My family stayed for two nights on 1st and 2nd of November 2020. I made a perfect choice to prove all negative comments regarding the quality of housekeeping are absolutely correct. The first day on arrival, our room was not too bad. Weve got some surprises left by the housekeeping. For example, bird poop everywhere in the balcony, dead fly on kitchen wall, and two shampoos in a row in the bathroom, etc. I think the housekeeping guy also wanted me to guess how quickly he/she cleaned the room. I guess, probably five minutes? The next morning, I put the BLUE please make up the room sign in front of the door. When I came back, my kids, my wife and myself were so excited to see a bigger surprise by housekeeping. The whole room was not cleaned at all. Maybe the housekeeping thought we maintained the room quite well so no need to clean? Anyway, I went downstairs and requested three fresh bath towels from kind receptionist, and threw rubbish by myself. Good exercise. A big thank to housekeeping. When we checked out, I was happy to discuss with receptionist again. To my surprise, the issue had been addressed to the housekeeping and the response was because I put do not disturb sign. Very high efficient. However, I believe the do not disturb side is WHITE. By the way, although the introduction shows private parking, it does charge. The parking is $15 per night. However, the front desk was very kind to offer me complementary parking. I acknowledge the front desk is helpful. In general, I definitely would recommend this apartment to someone if I really dislike him.

  Convenient Location and Great Room Set-Up

  Travelled to Canberra with another couple and found Pacific Suites had the best set-up for our 3 night stay. 2 identical bedrooms with king beds and ensuite bathrooms as well as a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and comfy lounges which suited the 4 of us. We got 1 car park for free and the second car at just $15 per night. Also, as past guests we received a 15 percent discount on the room. The location is super convenient with every sort of restaurant just around the corner and being on Northbourne Avenue we could use the light rail if we needed to. Housekeeping and reception staff were very helpful.

  Great place to stay!

  Ive been staying in the pacific suites with my 3 kids on the top floor and were loving it! The view is incredible (we saw hot air balloons the other day), the balcony is huge, the bedrooms and lounge/singing room are massive. The beds are all very comfy. The kitchen is well equipped and even has a dishwasher. We face the road but its not at all too noisy. I have a toddler and the whole place is safe for him. The staff are responsive and kind. I really recommend staying here if youre travelling with kids or as a group.

  Zero pleasure 100% Dismay

  If you arent fussy about cleanliness, friendliness, needing lights to work, appliances not to work and efficiency - this is the apartment hotel for you!!!! Im mindful that bad reviews can harm a business but our experience here has left me with a sense that how errors have been handled or rather NOT handled leaves me with a sense of duty to fellow travellers that unless you are paying a hostel price, dont stay here. East Hotel is my personal hotel of choice and we have booked to go there in February. So heres the thing, in this time of pandemic I have taken to supporting my morale hand in hand with supporting hotels with delicious staycations. So back to our experience at The Pacific - We opened the sofa bed with no mattress protector and found an old TV remote and had to brush off a whole lot of crumbs - when I rang reception to ask for sheets or another blanket, I was told two blankets were enough and we would have to charged for having bed made - I told him we could make the bed ourselves! Quietly watching TV we were interrupted by our door being opened........by other guests no less, who had been told to store their ice creams in our freezer as theirs wasnt working and had been given a key to our room to retrieve them - they were horrified, we too, were less than impressed but we laughed with them at the time because it wasnt THEIR mistake, when I called reception I was given a non committal yeah, sorry about that - really! About an hour later, our sheets arrived with the receptionist , given in a sheepish fashion with no mention of having given a key to our room but being told that he was busy with other guests.......way to emphasis that we as guests were not important. Arrived too late for us to bother making bed so Bec slept on blankets One facewasher, two small towels, one bath mat and one hand towel all smacks of cost saving not comfort for guests. I took Bec to East hotel for breakfast where we were warmly greeted, shown some oh so comfortable rooms with a very friendly woman (I thought she was the owner as she was so proud of the property.....but no , an employee and fabulous ambassador for property Despina, Director of Relationships....oh how I love East Hotel) The staff here at Pacific need to be shown that care in hospitality forgives mistakes more effectively The photo is of the sheets still on the chair after room was serviced, so We will make the bed again.....this time with sheets lol Also picture of somewhat grubby blanket......sigh. I think that in this time of pandemic businesses will thrive or fail - as guests we can support the right businesses. Stay at East Hotel, vibe at airport or The Kurrajong!!! Management, dont both replying with thanks for your feedback this is not feedback or a review I like leaving but the consistency of non service means you have problem
