  Lovely peaceful location

  Beautiful historic sandstone home, our room had a lovely bay window and very comfortable bed. The hosts are delightful and it was a great atmosphere at breakfast where we chatted with the other guests. Breakfast options were excellent and the fruit platter was delicious. Across the road from Seppeltsfield- where you can dine for lunch but not dinner.

  Our Barossa Visit

  We were greeted by Colin,Elliot and Lilly at the front door with a very welcoming feeling and wagging tails. This was the foundation for a wonderful stay and a great experience at The Lodge Country House. Our breakfast and 2 incredible dinners that we shared at the house rivalled any Michelin Star restaurants in the world. Phil thankyou for the wonderful food you prepared with such care and attention. Colin's local knowledge was both entertaining and informative he recommended some local restaurants that were absolutely delicious and the service fantastic. The gardens were a delight, the rooms very well appointed. They were spotlessly clean, roomy with a very large window overlooking the vines. It was like being transported back in time, grass tennis court, pool and lush green gardens surrounding. Being opposite Seppeltsfield was both an advantage and great as a landmark for referencing our location. The house has a wonderfully stocked honesty bar. Thankyou for the great hospitality and wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back.

  Haven of tranquility.

  We stayed for a single night, and loved every minute of it. Very personal service, small and private place, with outstanding input from the owner. It has everything you need, the room was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. Our only regret was not staying longer. The breakfast was amazing and the gardens and pool lovely. An ideal oasis from where one can explore all that the Barrossa has to offer.

  Fantastic stay

  A great place to stay, nothing was too much trouble for Colin. He was very attentive, a wealth of knowledge on the area and things to do. Great comfortable beds and fantastic breakfast daily including a wonderful fruit platter. We wandered around the beautifully manicured gardens and our stay was very relaxing. We would stay again

  3 Nights of Perfection, You will not be disappointed!

  We spent 3 nights at The Lodge in Seppeltsfield. Such a Beautiful stay. All rooms are the same size, very large & nice views from the large windows. Lovely outside veranda to sit and enjoy the gorgeous garden, with rabbits hopping in and out of the shrubs & bushes. We pre-ordered the 3 course set course dinner and this was all cooked lovingly by Phil and served by Colin. WELL.....Amazing is the only words we can describe what we had offered for our set menu, Definitely matches any 5 star restaurant Good selection of Local wines, spirits, beers & non alcoholic drinks. Each stay includes a great breakfast selection, ranging from selections of toast, cereals through to a fully cooked English Breakfast. The fruit platter and fresh yoghurt was SUPERB! Thank you Colin & Phil for such a memorable stay and not forgetting your 2 beautiful English Cocker Spaniels, Elliot & Lilly both popping in each morning for a hello & pat
