  In need of some major updates

  We stayed at the Hotel Ariston as part of a family holiday. We stayed at 5 different hotels during our tour of Tuscany and unfortunately this hotel was our worst by a large margin. Minus the location being top notch for seeing the sights of Livorno and walking to all the bars and restaurants there isnt anything else positive to say. Until there are some MAJOR updates to this hotel, dont stay here!!! The photos on all booking sites are very very deceptive. Our room was in need of major refurbishment. Tv was off the wall and connected very dangerously by several extension cords, very dangerous if you had going children with you. Curtains were hanging off the wall. Wires exposed in the bathroom. Our shower had no door and zero drainage.... after one minute the entire bathroom flooded. Hence the rotting floor panels. Burn mark by the AC, door handle broken, moulding falling off the wall.... we spent as little time in our room as we could. Hotel staff tried to help us move to a different room but all were as bad as each other. Glad it was just a one night stay.

  One night in Livorno for the ferry

  We stayed with the four of us in Ariston. I made a reservation for a garage spot, which was the only own garage with a hell of garbage in it. Containers, old closets. I don't have a big car but it was small. The room was really not like the pictures. Small with a bunk bed and a French bed. Bad WIFI. And in the morning a really bad breakfast. For us no more Ariston. Way to expensive for what you get. One positive thing, you're close to the harbour / ferry.

  not good compared to many other hotels at the same rate

  This hotel has potential. It has a great location. They have done a great job renovating the hallways and there is good artwork however our room was nothing like what is in the attached. The room smells like mildew. The halls smell like smoke. The bathroom needs renovating and our a/c leaked. Additionally the hotel only occupies one floor of the building however tenants and other outsiders can gain access to the hotel floors by the entrance left open on to the Street. This hotel could be spectacular.........given its location but still needs an overhaul.

  Nice and cosy, great location

  We spent there 2 nights and we were very happy with the place. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the people working there were really helpful in every situation, and the owner, the lady who works in the morning, was the nicest one. Well be back in Livorno, and back and the Ariston!!

  Hotel Ariston

  El Hotel Arsiton se encuentra en una ubicación inmejorable para visitar Livorno al encontrarse en pleno centro de la ciudad, a 5 minutos andando de todo. Se trata de un hotel acogedor y limpio que cuenta con un excelente desayuno estilo continental y con un amabilísimo personal siempre dispuesto a ayudarte. Sin duda un sitio perfecto para pasar unos días en Livorno
