  Bad experience, never going there again

  The service was OK, the people working there were very helpful.. But there was no wifi, no TV in the room, no telephone.. The breakfast was not enough, if you're OK with eating eggs and jam then be it.. Didn't like it

  Unfriendly & dated

  Stayed here for 3 nights, breakfast included in price. For amount we paid wasn't bad, however we have paid cheaper and had much nicer places. Where to start? From the moment we arrived we pulled up in the car park and headed for the reception following the sign, we were then gestured by a Greek lady who was in the car park (we were and still are unsure who she was) we gathered she was telling us not to go the way we were heading but around to the pool area, so we lugged or cases up there, only to be told to go back to the reception area where we first heading. The young guy who was on reception was friendly enough at this point and apologised that he would be putting us in a quadruple bedroom as there was no doubles left, but said we could have air conditioning because this was not what we had booked. He showed us to our room. It was a corner bungalow and the balcony was a nice position overlooking the sea. The hotel itself is out of the way from any main shops or restaurants and a very steep hill to walk back up from the main port. We did have a car so my partner drove us up and down as I'm quite a lazy bugger, he selflessly did this, however meaning he couldn't have an alcoholic drink. The bungalows themselves are very dated and old fashioned, though I have to admit it was quite clean. Furniture reminded me of being in my grans house when I was small, only not in a positive nostalgic way. The beds were very hard and I had very little sleep, my partner disagreed with this and he happily snored away. Bathroom again dated and the shower was over a tiny sized bath, After a long day travelling i was going to have a bath that night, however there was no plug. Thought I would ask reception staff next morning at Breakfast. First day we got up and went for breakfast, the guy who had checked us in the previous day was there & I asked him for a plug for the bath please, His reply "no we not use them here" this was the last he spoke to us during our stay! Breakfast was very dry bread, boiled eggs, ham, cheese (clogged palette) I don't expect a cooked breakfast just would have been nice to perhaps pop the dried bread in a toaster? The bedding or towels were not changed at all during our 3 days, we are travelling around the island and each place we have previously stayed we had them changed everyday, I did not expect them to be changed at all everyday, but I feel at least on the day before we check out perhaps a couple of fresh towels could have been given to us at least. I may come across as a very negative person, and I am not at all, this hotel has very little appeal, I did not feel welcomed or get a sense of feeling welcomed within this environment. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and was relived that we had only booked a 3 nights stay and was moving on to a different hotel.

  Very Tired with huge potential

  No sign of life on arrival, man appeared and was expecting us. We were shown to a large but very basic room, there was no hot water and small dead flies in the bottom of the bath.The bed was clean.We looked but did not take breakfast. We visited the poolside bar, where we were served by the same man that had booked us in. A family appeared and used the pool. The walls of the pool were grubby and we were told that the water was very cold. The ballustrade seperating us from a drop of around 100 feet looked flimsy and the wooden rail was crumbling, This hotel has stunning views and the potential to turn it into a very good hotel is there but it needs significant investment.

  Nice place, simple but very beautiful

  Very simple breakfast, but not bad. Just simple. The localization is very nice and the access is very easy to the pier to take boats to Shipwreck Beach and Blue Caves. By car is also easy to go to the observation point to view the Shipwreck Beach from top. The hotel has two swimming pools, very nice. It was no crowded and was very easy to park. My wi-fi review is because I was in a room that has no wi-fi signal, so I can't say anything about the performance, but we didn't reach the router from our room. They are gave me a late check-out, so we arrived from our ride to caves and beach and take a shower before departure. Nice, thanks.

  Dated mountain hotel, stunning views

  Blue Beach Hotel is built on a mountain and offers stunning views of the ocean and mountains. It is right above Agios Nikolaos Port and walking distance from restaurants, swimming, groceries, etc. The hotel itsself is dated and rooms are simple but functional. Everyone has a view to the ocean. Breakfast was good, nothing too fancy. Service was friendly. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel if youre not too picky about interior decor. - L&M
