  casa impecable

  El pueblito es muy bonito. La dueña de la cas super maja. La casa muy limpia. El desayuno muy correcto. Lo peor es que no puedes aparcar cerca y ademáas hay una gran escalinata para acceder a las habitaciones.

  Casa muy original y agradable en la que la dueña la señora Maria ejerce de magnifica anfitriona convirtiendo la estancia en algo muy agradable. Sitio muy bonito y acogedor. Desayuno magnifico en ese precioso salón. Lo recomiendo para todo el que quiera vivir una experiencia muy entrañable Muchas gracias a Maria por su amabilidad y trato

  Nice place, worth a night stay!

  Easy to locate. Beautifully restored property. Gracious host. Room was on the top floor with a magnificient view over the village. Generous sized room with a WC of high finish. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. View from the dining table is outstanding. Cozy fireplace for an evening dring and a chat. This place is ideal for a group of families traveling together. Madam Maria is a generous host. Those with weak joints be warned that the place has many stairs. During my one night stay there was a problem with the WiFi and it remained down. Drove down to Fundao and sat in a cafe to get my office work done. I understand that this problem was an exception which of course may happen. There is one restaurant in the village which opens for lunch with decent food. While Fundao has a couple of restaurants they do not surpass in quality the one in this village. Surely worth a one night stay!

  Excellent hospitality

  Friendly, family run hotel in Castelo Novo, one of the historic villages of Portugal, at the foot of the Serra da Gardunha. The area is well known for cherry trees which were in bloom in March. The building itself is one of the most attractive in this beautiful village.

  Marvelous Maria's Home

  My wife and I stayed at Casa Petrus Guterri on our last night in Portugal. Castelo Novo will forever be a special place for us because of the fabulous people in the village and the hospitality of the house. Maria, Casa Petrus Guterri's welcoming commitee and hostess (not to mention owner) was welcoming and made us feel at home. We stayed in a room on the highest level of the home which had spectacular views of the village and valley below. A simple elegant breakfast was served in the morning and the castle remains were only steps away. Thank you so much Castelo Novo and Casa Petrus Guterri. Maria, you and your home made my wife and I very happy. Warm regards!
