  Amazing experience!

  We spent 2 nights at André's house and it was absolutely great! André is a very nice and welcoming host, we welcomed us with a glass of wine and we felt like at home. Quite, peaceful and lovely place with a nice swimming pool from where you can see a wonderful sunset! We had a suite viewing the landscape, nothing around, it is awesome! Room are clean with own bathroom, private access to the pool and garden. Breakfast was also very good... I loved the salad fruits served by André. A little bit out of the tarmac road, it is difficult to find the road to access the house but André came to the nearest village to help us. We recommend this place at 100%! Thanks to André, Paddy and Snoopy, the two lovely dogs of the house ;-)

  B&B on a hill

  Booked for 6 nights in September Andre emailed very good directions the first half mile on Tarmac road then a mile on dirt track not good would not drive on this after dark. Arrived and met by Andre very friendly with a cold beer shown to our room but not the room we booked, but ok very basic nowhere to sit in the room the house seems to be a bit rundown and needs some upgrading and TLC to bring it back to what it once was nice location and good breakfast the pool was ok we moved rooms the next day as it became free but wasn't impressed as was musty and smelled damp first time we used the shower the drain was blocked and flooded the bathroom, I'm sure when we booked it it said there was a restaurant on site but Andre told us no other food available unless you cook it yourself the only food storage is a small fridge in shared kitchen shared by all three rooms so in the end we decided it wasn't for us and only stayed for two days .

  Just lovely - best B&B ever

  We stayed at Casa Sol e Lua for part of our honeymoon in Portugal, during which we travelled half the country. This was the absolute best hotel / B&B we stayed in during the whole trip and the one place we would want to come back to and stay longer. The room we stayed in was very spacious and beautifully decorated - many thanks for the honeymoon special upgrade and surprises! <3 Andre was an amazing host and we loved spending time with him and his dogs. Despite the fact that he is not Portuguese we felt completely immersed in the culture and were grateful for the helpful advise on local restaurants and beaches. The amenities are beautiful and very clean. The location provides stunning views and lots of peace and quiet. Admittedly it is a bit off the beaten path but no problem at all to reach the place with any car having Andre's directions at hand. Also it is still very close to Tavira and many close-by sights and beaches. The only thing I would do differently next time is to stay there longer!! Thanks for the lovely stay!

  A lovely bed and breakfast!!

  If you are like me and love bnbs this place was one of the best we have stayed in! The house was well kept, very tidy, and had beautiful views overlooking mountains and countryside. The host Emay was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area (e.g. Recommendations for day trips and restaurants). The breakfast was great as well - so filling and very well presented too! As per the other reviews, the bnb is a little off the beaten track and you will need google maps for assistance - this was no problem for us. A bonus if you are a dog lover - there are some gorgeous dogs at the property as well :-)

  Do NOT book this room!!!

  This place closed for business at the end of last Summer! No idea why travel sites still advertise it... Expedia ruined part of our holiday when we booked s room here in April (for August) months after they had closed for business! Expedia never contacted us, even after the old manager for the hotel kindly told us the day we were booked that it was no longer in business! Never, ever book Expedia! Terrible customer service, costing us hundreds of Euro to fix their mistakes - and ONLY after we called them, in spite of the manager telling them of their mistake!
