  Beautiful bungalow with nice view and clean rooms & bathrooms

  The bungalow turned guest house is situated 1.5 km from the Town centre, market & bus stand. The guest house has a European style of architecture, very well maintained, neat & clean, and has good view from the balcony. The rooms are spacious, clean, cosy and has nice Bathrooms with hot water. Breakfast is complimentary and is served at the dining room. The bungalow has 5 rooms, 3 triple-bed & 2 double-bed rooms. The actual name is "Global Rest House" not "inn". The landmark is "Gayatri Temple" (Hindu Temple), which is adjacent to it. So tell your taxi/tuktuk driver about Gayatri Temple to reach the guest house. And the most important part of this guest house is the supervisor cum caretaker cum everything "Raju", very helpful, decent and nice guy.

  Solo merece la pena el personal

  Llegamos al hotel sobre la 1 de la madrugada nos atendio un hombre encantador que nos ofrecio un te calentito pues la temperatura era baja,es lo mejor del hotel, el personal, genial en los 3 dias de estancia. En la habitación habia mucha humedad y hacia frio.

  Excellent Budget place for an overnight stay. Hospitality goes a long way!!!

  Budget place for an overnight stay. The rooms provided are small and cozy. I liked the place overall. Also the host/employee of this place is a good man. He helped us save a few bucks, by giving us suggestions on what places to avoid in our journey. In Sri Lanka, tourists get ripped off like anything, Its very helpful to have people like this who genuinely want to help you. Place was very good. But I'm giving a 5 rating just for the hospitality, :)

  Awesome

  We were stayed only two nights and it was awesome. They were warmly welcomed us and did checkin as soon as possible and escorted to the room within 5 min. of time. From arrival to until our departure Raju uncle did a very good job. He have taken cares of us always. He made our early pack breakfast before we gets up. And he made our dinner like mothers taste. *If u want to have a sri lankan meal just bring the ingredients. he will give you exactly sri lankan taste meal. Again we are thankful to Ranju uncle for everything. Place is value for money and comfortable than we expected. The property is bit fat from the city (just like 1.5km) and some of the amenities was not available. Hot water need to have on all taps because of the low temperature. Its not a big deal and thats it. Vidu

  Basic accommodation and facilities but super service

  This property is very basic but kept clean by the caretaker Raju. He is a very kind person who is ever willing to help. He even sent is assistant to meet us at Cargills food city to by food stuff for our stay. His cooking ( especially Sri Lankan cuisine ) is super and we all enjoyed it. The property needs upgrade especially the bathrooms. Most of the bathrooms had some problem or the other. Water leaks, water clogging, broken toilet seat covers etc.. showers had hot water but the pressure was poor. The property is also located next to a Hindu kovil. On Poya days they start their summons at 5am, needless to say many in our party could not sleep after 5am. If not for Raju this property will have serious issues of attracting guests. With good upgrade of the bathrooms this property can be sold for much higher rates.
