Closed between 11:00-14:00 But Great Location and Staffs

Everything about this place is great however, I'll first start with the downside. They are closed between 11:00-14:00 so the staffs can clean the rooms and such which mean they ask you to refrain using the shower, blow dryer, etc during those times. If you want to leave your luggage there before or after you check in/out there is no storage, they just leave it in the common lounge. The girls dorm are on the second floor as the mixed dorm room is on the third floor, there are no elevators and the stairs are very narrow and the rooms are up quite high. For example, it's a struggle for two people to walk together on the stairs. The location at first was hard to find because it's small and looks like a house or a local japanese shop and the sign isn't very big. It is a 20 min walking distance from hakata station, once you get out of hakata walk straight (slightly towards right side where you'll see starbucks) but stay on the right side of the road so you'll see hotel nikko on your left. When you see Gofukumachi Station (exit 3 or 4) turn right and you'll walk pass by a family mart and keep walking straight maybe after 3 blocks? And it should be at a corner of a street, if you walk passed by the bridge you went too far, it's right before you hit the bridge. Or you can take the subway to Gofukumachi station and just walk out from exit 4 and reread my directions. All the staffs are friendly and nice, the hostel provides sheets, linens, comforters that are from IKEA so they're very comfortable and they're very clean. They don't provide towels however they do provide a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner along with body soap, cotton set, and a hairdryer. Also, Ichiran ramen is a 20 min walk straight down the street and around there you can also do your shopping, see the river. Seriously, the location is great and I'd come back here.

    Good stay for a night

The hostel is in a cute building surrounded by temples - that's a plus. The beds are soft foam mattresses. Breakfast is included - one slice of bread per person, yoghurt, instant soup. The dorm (10 people) has 1 toilet and 1 shower. Worked out fine for us but at the female dorm I would expect some difficulties.

    sheets are soft and clean

Subway: 20 minutes away from Fukuoka Airport subway station, you have to transfer in Nakasu-Kawabata station when going to Hakata (transportation hub for express bus and JR lanes). There is 100 yen bus that roams in circular route along the city, you may want to take that too. The bus runs from the bus stop across the hotel passing by Hakata, Canal Mall, etc. Dormitory Female Only: There were 9/10 capsules in female-only floor (2nd). I like the room having big windows along the corridor. It is well dimly lighted at night. All guests on the same floor is served by a bathroom (shower, toilet, 2 sink areas). It is commendable that the shower area has divider and have a dry area changing room. Two corner areas of the corridor have lamps. There are 2 small tables with lamps, four small seats, 2 clothes rack and multiple hangers that can be shared. I like the most, the feet massager! Bed: It's not suffocating, you get to enjoy the privacy as you have your own curtains, pin lights, and charging socket in your capsule. The bed sheets and pillows provided are soft and clean.

    Friendly owner, good beds!

The owner is a very friendly and helpful guy who helped us get baseball tickets. Bed are quite comfy compared to other hostel beds we had. On a few minutes away from connecting metro stops. Would stay again!

    Comfortable bed with good privacy

We stayed here for only one night but were comfortable. The beds were clean and the general areas well kept. Staff were welcoming and helpful when we were looking for somewhere for dinner. Breakfast in the morning was nice, toast, yoghurt and fresh coffee. The whole place is a little tight for space, so manoeuvring with a bag was tricky, particularky up the steep staircase. There was plenfy of room in the dorm, but only 1 toilet and shower to cater for the whole dorm (I think it was 10 beds.. But it was certainly more than 8) which just meant we were waiting a while in the morning and evening. Overall, a fine place to stay for £20 a bed.
