  Be Warned!

  False claim.When we arrived, we were told that the Xmas eve compulsory dinner was not available. I thought nothing of it, but the next day I enquired about the restaurant, and was told that, apart from breakfast, it was closed and there was no bar. As we made sure before booking that there was a restaurant, we were very dismayed. Every time we wanted to eat lunch or dinner, we had to go out, leading to no resting all day by the pool as we had envisaged, this also had the effect of incurring the cost of taxis. Speaking of the pool, on the second day it was green, the hotel handyman tried to clean it, and it did become less green, but remained cloudy, and was extremely green again by the time we left. Rooms were not cleaned adequately, floors not swept, surfaces not dusted, towels not replaced or were replaced with stained ones. There was old paint on a drinking glass. The wooden boarding around the pool was cracked and had nails sticking up in places. Three of the nine sun beds were broken. False claim. After arrival and comparing it to the website we discovered that the picture of the gym is false, its not the same room and not the same equipment. False claim. The rooms are all the same. Dont pay for a deluxe, as its exactly the same room as a standard double. Laundry went missing and the pricing was different to what was stated in the hotel information book. A/C ventilators were filthy, spewing out dust and mould into the rooms. There was mouldy fungus around my basin faucet/tap for the entire stay. The rain came through the straw roof, dripping onto the floor and beds and evidence of this is seen by black mould on the ceiling. We were without any water for one night. We overlooked many of these things, as they didnt affect us too much and we dearly wished to enjoy our annual family Christmas and New Years break away. However, when we did complain of our main concerns to the hotel staff, they said they couldnt do anything. There was little English spoken. We voiced our concerns to Agoda, who we had booked through, on the second day of our 9 day visit. They were taking it up with the management of Hoi An, who after we returned home said that they cannot do anything as we hadnt brought it up during our stay there (which we had). We were offered a voucher for 10% of the £900 spent on the rooms, to stay in another Agoda hotel, the voucher lasts for three months. As I do not intend to book through Agoda again, this is useless. The hotel has offered a reduced rate for our next stay. I dont think so! The breakfast area is open to the rain, though it does have a roof. Too small for the minimum 56 people (if all the rooms are booked) staying at the hotel, similar to the number of sun beds (9). In conclusion, beware of the false claims of this hotel, and be warned, its a basic bed and breakfast with poor facilities. Beware too of the false advertising on Agoda.

  Be careful!!!

  After all of the thing we heard about this Resort Group in whole Vietnam for good service, I believe right to choose but it's not. Terrible service, the only one thing can accept is the girl receptionist try to do best for us to fix all of the problems but doesn't work. For the first moment when i and my friends arrive the hotel, no towel, I reported to them for much many time ( 1.00 pm, 3.00 pm, 5.00 pm, midnight) but no answer and we get the towel on the next day. And they're trying to say sorry for that on next day? And the man staff in night shift is horrible, very no respect and unpolitical, unfriendly. One thing else is breakfast is very simple and basically. Also we're come on New Years eve for my sister honeymoon but they're closed all of the restaurant and nothing to eat, need to go out for do that, even i get the information they do. Not recommend this hotel and please be careful to pick the hotel if you don't want annoying stay and uncomfortable.

  A peaceful stay

  This resort is located in a small alley, 3km from the market or Dinh Cau. Taxi can get there or you can walk to the main street. It has a small pool, small gym room with weights. The rooms are designed with Hoi An architecture style (the roof and wooden bed, chairs, table, closet..., wooden floor). If you search for a quiet place, I think this one is pretty cool although it is a bit old and smells not really good. (I suppose the reason is that not much people stay here during rainy season so it smells moldy). The staff is not too friendly but they are nice and ready to serve you if you want their support. Opposite to this alley is a restaurant which specializes in grilled Beef and veal, hotpots, for you info.

  Lovely staff

  We stayed at Hoi An hotel for 4 nights in November. The staff were lovely and attentive and the rooms were relatively big. A lot of people here mentioned the pool being green and dirty, not my experience. The breakfast was included but i have to say there was hardly any choice there so we only got up for it once. The rooms werent cleaned every day which can be a bit of a problem if you spend a lot of time on the beach. I agree with the reviews here about the beds - very hard, like sleeping on wood. While the location is good as it is not far from the beach, the market snd the restaurants, the hotel is located at the end of a narrow alley. Thats Ok during the day but at night its extremely dark and full of stray dogs so walking back was a rather scary experience. Not much that the hotel can do about it but it was a big issue for us.

  Good place to stay!

  We were here a few days while in Phu Quoc. The resort is under new administration, and apparently many renovations and changes were made. Older reviews dont seem to apply. Pool was 100% functional, room was clean, functional AC and staff were super helpful. The resort is not ocean front but is surrounded by woods, about 4 min walk off Tran Hung Dao (principal road). Its very quiet at night. We did not see any dogs during our stay, and enjoyed the tranquility here. A few minutes walk from the beach. Excellent quality for the price, and well suited for families. Will stay here when we come back to Phu Quoc!
