  Friendly family hotel five minutes from the beach

  Excellent reception by Eleni who made our stay very pleasant. Good breakfast, especially the yoghurt with honey and the many different types of jam. The hotel is in a quiet part of the village with a view over the sea.

  Fantastic !!!!!

  Stayed here for 2 weeks the hotel is fabulous,has an amazing view and is 2 mins from the village 5 from the beach. Hotel is comfortable and spotless with a lovely terrace for a pre or after dinner drink,I was room only but food breakfast/dinner is available on request. The owner Eleni is great and really hospitable. Thanks for a superb stay x

  Stylish, welcoming & great value

  Although I only stayed at this hotel for some two nights , it none the less left an impression, a good one . The place has a great feel, its safe, serene with accommodating personnel where nothing is too much trouble . Its small , everywhere is exceptionally clean and should you be fortunate with your allocation of room, offers fantastic views of the coast and sea. Its location is perfect , a short walk to either the coast or the little village of Gennadi .

  Welcome to the Hotel Panorama

  I stayed here for two nights in mid June 2019. Hotel Panorama is delightful. Quiet, clean, well-priced, five minutes walk from the centre of the charming village of Gennadi or another 5 minutes to the beach. The hotel was undergoing renovations when I arrived in the main public areas but they were due to be completed within a few days. The hotel was relaxing and tranquil. The bed was comfortable, bathroom in good condition and the room was spotlessly clean with a fabulous balcony with views out to the sea. Eleni and Christina were delightful hosts and made me feel so welcome at the hotel and in Gennadi. A special thanks to them. Gennadi and Hotel Panorama are accessible from Rhodes Town and elsewhere along the Eastern Coastline by public bus. The journey takes 2 to 2.5 hours and affords wonderful views of the island including its coastline and non-touristic inland villages (depending on the route). Tickets are around EUR 10. Even though I was in Rhodes in June and it was already busy, Gennadi was relatively quiet with few tourists. There were stretches of beach that were almost empty. The beach isn't as aesthetically pleasing as some of the others in Rhodes, comprised of coarse grey sand and hard pebbles and stones. However, the water quality, visibility and depth is superb. The swimming from the beach here at Gennadi is fantastic. There are mega resorts all along the eastern coastline of Rhodes and development is continuing to spring up all the way south to about Pefki. How long the Gennadi area will remain relatively undeveloped is unclear, as there were some new resort and building projects underway here as well (although not on the same scale as further up the coast between Pefki and Rhodes Town), but for now it remains a peaceful, quiet and relaxing destination. If you want to avoid the crowds, all-inclusive holiday package tours and experience the Greek Islands at their most charming, then the Hotel Panorama Gennadi is well recommended. I plan on returning again.
