  Nothing special about this place but nothing bad either

  Nothing special about this place but nothing bad either. The room was okay and reasoanbly clean, the shower worked (not brilliantly but it worked okayish), the garden was fine for having a beer in. Sleep quality was poor because of the heat. All in all a resonable place that is well located for the money that we paid.

  Renovation needed

  Hotel in urgent need of renovation. Floors, radiator and bathroom are worn out. Service was very friendly. Location is ok, a bit far from centre but close to the metro station, only 3.5 EUR to centre. Prices are ok too, we had a pretty big room.

  Good prices

  Location is easy to find and easy access to tram, a little bit far from the centre but we bought 2 hours ticket and reached all we want to see. Hotel rooms were clean, staff was helpful and prices are ok. Was our second stay and will go again.

  Clean but small, no charm

  If the most important thing you're looking for in a hotel is cleanliness, this is it for you. Located near a metro and and trams, walking distance from the Euromast Parkhaven, this hotel is always so clean, you could eat off the floor. And that's its only redeeming quality. Or if you like the university dormitory vibe, it's also good. If you show up for six days with your partner and have enough luggage to wear clean clothes everyday, good luck. There is no room to put anything away. We ended up putting the coffee tray in the cupboard (six to eight inches deep - yup, that's it, three hangers only) for the duration of our stay to have more room on the desk for our things, condemned the desk chair for one suitcase and the lower table for the other suitcase. That's it for the furniture. No drawers anywhere The bathroom, although sparkling clean, was so small my partner was worried he'd smash his brain out on the sink if he sneezed while sitting on the toilet - a real threat. The only time I asked for directions as to which way to go to take a specific bus (should we turn left or right out of the hotel), the person at reception opened a google maps page on her computer as she couldn't help us, you see, she has a car and drives everywhere. So much for concierge help. After two minutes, we told her thanks and went back up to our room to do the search ourselves on my laptop. Faster results. Good thing it was a particularly cool week as there is no air conditioning in this hotel, something we took for granted and didn't check when we booked. The hotel offers a continental breakfast for 11.50 euros, which we never tried. There's no restaurant, room service, and they don't allow outside food in the rooms, so forget about having anything delivered (probably why it's so clean!!). Not going back, even if it was a couple euros cheaper than other hotels. Certainly not worth the savings. No one ever, ever asked us if we were happy, if things were satisfactory, not when we checked in, not when we left, nothing. They only ask your room number if you come in late, don't know why. Security reasons? Checking up on you? Who knows, only that you feel like they're checking up on you. Smiles when we passed reception, that's it.

  Nightmare experience at this hotel

  I booked directly with them and regret it. The night we stayed our room got flooded with water coming from the ceiling. One of the guests slipped and almost lost their sight. They were left with pain and bruising around the eye. The reception called the owner and he came in 20 minutes. He didn't ask us how we were and his only concern was about stopping the leak I asked what he will do for us and he said he would call a doctor to attend the guest and won't be charging us for our room. No doctors came. Next day he said it was not the hotels fault that a leak happened and the guest needs to go to the hospital themselves and it's not hotels responsibility. He also said there was a misunderstanding and he meant we would not be charged for moving us to another room that was flooded. I thought by booking directly I would get a saving but I ended up not being protected and they don't really give you any saving. In fact it was quite expensive when you add parking and breakfast. They state everything is halal but what snacks you get at reception which you pay for are Snickers chocolates and nothing special. The breakfast was one of the worst I've had. It's a rip off. You get a few cereal, cheese, bread, tea and scrambled eggs. Not worth 11 euros they charge. We were the only people at breakfast. Overall the location is quite good and some of the staff are really wonderful but the package and guest welfare is atrocious. The owner is dishonest.
