  Night stay before an early flight.

  This was the fastest I was ever checked into a hotel. We had to be at the airport at 4am and decided to stay the night before since we live an hour away. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower hit the spot. I would stay here again. No breakfast was consumed due to the early flight.

  GROSS! NASTY! STAY AWAY!!

  First, when we made the reservation, we specifically asked if this hotel was at a specific location, (we knew landmarks in the general area we needed to stay), and were told "yes this was it". Guess what, it wasn't even close, in fact 20 miles away! Needless to say, the "right hotel" was sold out for the night, so we had to stay here. 1ST STRIKE! The hotel is 4 stories and signs all over the place announce their renovations, "please pardon our mess". We were given room 400. The renovations had not made it that far up yet! The carpet in the room was SO disgusting that walking on it to go take a shower, my feet actually left black grime when the water rinsed them off, seriously! STRIKE 2! When we pulled the covers back on the bed, we found these blue stains, so needless to say that ended up on the floor to give us something a little cleaner than the carpet to walk on. STRIKE 3!! The air conditioning would not stay on so the room temperature could not be regulated, so it was either "frozen tundra" or "desert hot" in the room. When we checked out, we mentioned all this to the front desk. The girl, though apologetic, said the night clerk that checked us in should have never given us that room, that in fact we should have been put on one of the first two floors, as they had been renovated already. Needless to say, renovations or not, we have checked this one off our list of possibilities in the future.

  Just passing through

  This hotel hit the ticket for a stop over during a long road trip. Being an IHG member the check in was quick, the staff was friendly, the bed was comfy, the shower was superb and breakfast was great.

  TERRIBLE - DON'T STAY HERE

  Booked this hotel for June 14 & 15 as it was close to Graceland and offered a free Continental Breakfast. Arrived at 7:15PM to a empty parking lot at the hotel - that was my first clue this was not a place to stay. Checked in & went to the room only to fine no TV remote. Stopped at the desk while heading to get something to eat and told them about the remote and then asked about the closed pool and when the breakfast started. Was told there was on breakfast & the pool was closed as it was the "SLOW SEASON". Got on the phone with our Travel person who tried in vain to contact the hotel to no avail. Returned to the hotel after dinner to find the desk clerk sitting outside smoking with the Maintenance man. Went to our room to get our bags to leave and use the bathroom only to find no toilet paper. Went back to the desk and still not nobody at there, she was still sitting outside smoking. Handed her my phone to talk to out travel person and the desk clerk could have cared less that we wanted to leave. Found out from someone who lived in Memphis that the Perkins area is not a area that tourist should stay. Have tried numerous times to call the company to let them know and each time they have either hung up on me or did not listen to anything I said. One actually tried to sell me another vacation. It will be a cold day in hell before I stay at another Holiday Inn Express.

  Great Room, great experience

  This was a good visit, just 1 night though. Very comfortable room, people were nice at checkin (IHG member makes it fast). Very reasonable price for this chain. Breakfast was, as always a treat. Will stay again if in the area.
